Punjab 400 for 9 dec (Azhar Ali 135, Hafeez 78, Umar Akmal 52) and 80 for 3 (Hafeez 61*) drew with Sind 509 for 7 dec (Manzoor 201*, Sarfraz 115, Nawaz 66, Riaz 3-74)
Scorecard
It was good day for Sind opener Khurram Manzoor. He was called up to Pakistan's squad for the three ODIs in Abu Dhabi as a replacement for Nasir Jamshed, and scored a double-century in Lahore to help his team take the first-innings lead and three points from the match.
Resuming on 260 for 4, Sind lost Afsar Nawaz with just four runs added, but wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed made a brisk 115 as he and Manzoor took Sind past Punjab's first-innings score of 400. His 115, off 133 balls, came in a sixth-wicket stand of 164. Sind eventually declared on 509 for 7; Manzoor's 201 not out was his best in first-class games.
There was not much chance of forcing a result, but Punjab captain Mohammad Hafeez decided to make as many runs in the overs left in the day. Three of his partners fell cheaply - the match was called off after the third - but Hafeez scored a 29-ball 61, with ten fours and three sixes. Tanvir Ahmed took two wickets in 4.1 overs, while Sohail Khan, who got his 100th first-class wicket in Punjab's first innings, took the other.
