Match Referees refresher course completed

A series of refresher coursers of the PCB Match referees were recently conducted at Lahore and Karachi by Col. (Retd) Naushad Ali, former ICC Match Referees and ex-Test cricketer.

The courses held at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore and the National Stadium Karachi, were attended by a total of 32 former Test/first class cricketers, drawn from all over the country.

The objective was:

1. To select a panel of referees for coming domestic season.
2. To embark a selective panel for various important matches like semifinal/final of national tournaments etc.
3. To ensure implementation of PCB code of conduct in the domestic tournaments.
4. To ensure PCB policy on preparation of pitches, ground etc.

At the end of courses an evaluation test was conducted and those qualifying will be awarded certificates.
