Stuart Matsikenyeri is still yet to find a club in the United Kingdom with chances high that he might not secure a deal as the English domestic season is already underway.
"My agent is still working hard," Matsikenyeri explained. "Nothing solid has yet been found. All I need is anywhere where I can play club cricket."
Asked whether he had an alternative plan should he fail to secure a club in UK, the 23-year-old Matsikenyeri said he might make himself for the national team. A talented top order batsman, Matsikenyeri has played eight Tests appearances for Zimbabwe, that last in March 2005 against South Afrcia.
Matsikenyeri rejected an offer to take up a contract with Zimbabwe Cricket, a move that many believe was in solidarity with his childhood friend Tatenda Taibu, who retired from international cricket in November.
Matsikenyeri recently wedded Oslie Muringai, a former Miss Zimbabwe.
