At Dunedin, March 30. (35 overs.) Australia won by seven wickets. Accurate bowling by Gilmour and Dymock contained the New Zealand batsmen. Congdon found form again with 82 off 114 balls and Hastings also batted attractively. Stackpole and Ian Chappell struck 136 from weak bowling, Chappell making his 83 off 68 balls, and the touring team won with 10.5 overs remaining.
