CALCUTTA, Feb 20: The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)
Khalid Mahmood said his team would tour India for the one-day
competition despite the fiasco at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.
"The PCB have complete confidence in our counterparts and we feel
that the matter is now in the hands of the Board of Control for
Cricket in India (BCCI). Since we will be their guests, they will
have to ensure full security for us," Mahmood said at the team's
hotel.
Mahmood stressed that as far as the PCB was concerned, Pakistan's
tour for the three-nation one-day competition was on "unless advised
otherwise whether by the Pakistan government or the BCCI."
Asked if Pakistan would ever play at the Eden Gardens, Mahmood said
not only Pakistan but all the other Test playing countries would
first think and decide whether they should play here or not. "You see
every ground creates its own impression and reputation," he remarked.
