Lahore, Nov 13: The Pakistan cricket selectors have submitted a 15-man
squad for the first Test against England to the cricket board chief
for approval. The team will be now be announced on Tuesday afternoon
by chief selector Wasim Bari after Lt Gen Tauqir Zia's approval.
The selectors had previously decided to pick 14 players. But after a
tie between Waqar Younis and Danish Kaneria, the selectors showed
flexibility and picked both.
The 15 likely to be named are:
Moin Khan (captain), Inzamam-ul-Haq (vice-captain), Saeed Anwar,
Shahid Afridi, Imran Nazir, Salim Elahi, Yousuf Youhana, Qaisar Abbas,
Abdur Razzaq, Azhar Mahmood, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Mushtaq Ahmad,
Saqlain Mushtaq and Danish Kaneria.
