Pakistan Cricket Board to promote game in interior of Sindh

Hyderabad, May 4: Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB),
Lt.Gen. Tauqir Zia has said that it was the first priority of the
board to promote sports activities in the interior of Sindh and
improve the conditions of cricket grounds.
According Syed Rahat Shah, a member of the scrutiny committee for
Hyderabad Division and sports officer of district Thatta, the PCB
chairman has called for detailed report about the problems confronting
the cricketers of Sindh and issues related to cricket grounds,
particularly the deteriorating condition of Niaz Stadium.
The PCB chief, while meeting Shah in Karachi, expressed the hope that
such report would be submitted to him soon and in the light of it
cricket would be organized on a sound footing.
Shah briefed PCB chief about the conditions prevailing in Niaz
Stadium, Makli Cricket Ground, Nawabshah Stadium, Larkana Cricket
Ground, Gama Stadium (Mirpurkhas) and Sukkur Stadium
