PCB Chief Executive visits cricket clinics

Press Release: Pakistan Cricket Board on Rameez Raja's visit to cricket clinics

The Chief Executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Rameez Raja, has stressed upon the youngsters attending the PCB-Pepsi-Club Cricket to make full use of the opportunity that has been provided to them. He advised the youngsters to not only improve their cricketing skills but also their overall personality. He was giving a pep-talk to the youngsters during his visits to Shah Faisal Cricket Club ground, Model Town Extension, and Government Pilot Secondary School, Wahdat Colony, on Saturday evening.
At the Shah Faisal Cricket Club ground, students from Beaconhouse School System and Pepperdine School Network are attending the coaching clinic while Government Pilot Secondary School students are attending the clinic in their backyard. The coaches, playing gear and the kits have been provided by the cricket board.
"The PCB wants to provide you all equal opportunity so that you can improve your skills at the early stages. But for that, you will have to reciprocate and show interest and commitment. I am convinced that if you work with dedication and commitment, you will become stars of future," Rameez told the youngsters.
He added: "I am happy that I have received positive feed back about you all from your coaches. But you must all remember that key to success is continuous hard work, commitment and respect for elders. I also take this opportunity to thank your families who have allowed you to attend these clinics on our responsibility. This shows the amount of confidence your parents have on us."
The PCB Chief Executive also announced that the board would provide fencing to Shah Faisal Colony so that there was no trespassing and the field could be maintained. He further said the board would try to provide mattings that can replace the cemented tracks.
"The board is keen to eliminate this cement pitches culture," he said.
For the Government Pilot Secondary School, that owns its own cricket field, Rameez Raja announced that the board would provide two centre pitches, two practice pitches and improved outfield. "The board will provide all possible assistance to any school or institution that has its own cricket field. But at the same time, the board expects that these facilities will be protected and maintained."
Ramee also announced that the kits provided for the clinics by the sponsors and the board will be gifted to the respective schools after the conclusion of the event.
