Now, Chhattisgarh beat Tripura in their first ever Ranji Trophy match, comfortably, by nine wickets in Ranchi. Since 1968-69, the teams that have debuted in the Ranji Trophy are Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Goa and Jharkhand.

He completed 1000 runs in his first-class career - these runs have come at an average of 54.05. His average is the highest among Gujarat players who have scored more than 1000 first-class runs since his debut.

2 Number of double-centuries by Gujarat batsmen since Manpreet Juneja made his debut in December 2011 - both by Juneja. He scored unbeaten 201 on his debut and another 201 not out against Baroda in this first round. This was his fifth century for Gujarat, which is second-most by any batsman since his debut; Parthiv Patel has made seven centuries.
