Rupganj suffer second straight loss

A round-up of the Dhaka Premier Division matches played on November 30, 2014

League leaders Legends of Rupganj went down for the second time in successive matches, Kalabagan Cricket Academy beating them by three wickets at BKSP-4.
Batting first, Rupganj were bowled out for 194 with Jahurul Islam and Ashar Zaidi scoring half-centuries. Mohammad Sharif took four wickets for KCA while Bishawnath Halder picked up three.
In reply, the KCA openers Imtiaz Hossain and Irfan Sukkur added 132 runs in 35.1 overs. KCA then suffered a collapse, losing seven wickets for 50 runs, before Sharif slammed a six off the first ball of the final over to seal the victory.
At the neighbouring BKSP-3 ground, Prime Bank Cricket Club beat Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by eight wickets.
Batting first, Dhanmondi were all out for 205 runs with Maisuqur Rahman scoring exactly 50. Taskin Ahmed took three wickets. In reply, openers Shadman Islam and Saikat Ali struck fifties to lead Prime Bank to the win, completed in 47.5 overs.
In Fatullah, Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club outplayed Mohammedan Sporting Club, winning by 32 runs. Set 217 to win, Mohammedan were bowled out for 184. Dawid Malan turned in an all-round performance, taking three wickets and scoring 45, while Mehedi Maruf made 56.
