Darren Sammy, the West Indies allrounder, has been ruled out of the tour of India due to an injury sustained in a Carib Beer Series match between Windwards Islands and Jamaica. Dwayne Smith replaced him in the squad which arrived in Mumbai on Thursday.

He had a satisfactory tournament in Malaysia, taking seven wickets in five matches at 26.57 apiece but fared poorly during the Champions Trophy and the tour to Pakistan that followed, taking four wickets in nine games at an average of 62.25.
West Indies' tour kicks off with the first ODI at Nagpur on Sunday.
