Somerset all set to start their Mini Sabres Pre-School Cricket Club

Somerset County Cricket Club are always on the lookout for new talent, and over the next few weeks the club will be running sessions for youngsters between the ages of three and fourteen years old.

The Mini Sabres Pre- School Cricket Club is a completely new venture and is targeted at boys and girls between the ages of three and five years old.

The sessions, that will take place at the Centre of Excellence at the County Ground, are designed to improve hand/eye co-ordination and basic cricketing skills, with the emphasis being on fun and games.

The sessions are being run between 4 and 5 pm on Monday March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st, and will cost £2 per session.

The ever popular Half Term Cricket Skills Sessions will once again be taking place later this month.

The sessions for both boys and girls will run for 6-9 year olds between 9.30 and 12.30pm, and for 10 to 14 year olds between 1.15 and 4.15 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday February 24th,25th, 27th and 28th at the Centre of Excellence in Taunton, and will cost £10 per session.

The sessions will be run by Somerset CCC fully qualified coaches and will involve a variety of skills with the emphasis on fun and enjoying cricket.
