Stevens named in Academy tour squad

Darren Stevens, who has signed a new two-year contract at Leicestershire, has been named in a 14-strong England Academy squad to tour Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Stevens has been at the Adelaide-based Academy all winter working under the direction of Rodney Marsh.

The five-week trip completes the second half of their programme before Stevens returns home to prepare for the new season at Grace Road.

The squad fly out from Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur and then set off on a four and a half week tour of Sri Lanka where they will play seven matches against Sri Lanka A, an Academy X1 and Under-19 sides.
