Both have spent the last few months recovering from injury. Tendulkar underwent surgery on his hand in the United States in April, and Sehwag's spell with Leicestershire was prematurely ended in July by a back strain.
"There are no problems at all as far as Sachin is concerned," John Wright, India's coach, told reporters at the team's training camp in Bangalore. "Sehwag has made good progress right through and he's quite confident. There are no issues surrounding these players from the fitness perspective."
But doubts remain over Ashish Nehra, who had an operation on his ankle in South Africa in April. "Ashish has made good progress, he had a good rehabilitation programme but he is a little way off," Wright explained. "He looked good at the nets but we'll have to discuss when he can return to international cricket."
