Just 25 days after dislocating his shoulder, Shane Warne's return to cricket was complete when he was named in the Bushrangers squad for tomorrow's ING Cup match against the Western Warriors at the MCG.
Warne's return to first-class cricket was sealed yesterday after he completed a strong training session in Sydney under the scrutiny of Australian team physio Errol Alcott. Joining Warne in the Bushrangers line-up is all-rounder Ian Harvey who will play his first ING Cup match since injuring a hamstring against Tasmania in early November.
Justin Langer returns to the ground - where he struck a brilliant 250 in the fourth Orange Ashes Test - to captain the Warriors. The teams are as follows:
BUSHRANGERS
Shane Warne (c), Darren Berry (vc), Jason Arnberger, Matthew Elliott, Ian Harvey, Shane Harwood, Brad Hodge, Mathew Inness, Nick Jewell, Michael Lewis, Jonathan Moss, Graeme Rummans, Cameron White (one to be omitted)
WARRIORS
