Wasim Khan, the left-handed batsman who has endured a frustrating time at Sussex, is joining Derbyshire.
The 30-year-old played only two County Championship games for Sussex last season and just five first-class matches in 1999.
His move to Derbyshire will see him link up again with two former Warwickshire team-mates - Tim Munton is now vice-captain at the club while Graeme Welch joined from Warwickshire in November. Wasim made his first-class debut for Warwickshire in 1995 but left to join Sussex at the end of 1997.
