Sachin Tendulkar has said his first tour of Australia in 1991-92, when he was still a teenager, toughened him up as a cricketer, and helped prepare him to face world-class attacks. He was speaking at a ceremony in Mumbai where he became the first Indian sportsman to be honoured with membership of the Order of Australia.

"It (the 1991-92 tour of Australia) completely changed me as a cricketer. It was a critical moment of my career. Three and half months changed me completely," Tendulkar said. "I thought I was ready to play against any attack in the world and I can say that Australia has had some contribution in that to transform me into a tougher cricketer."

India lost the Test series 4-0, but Tendulkar was India's highest run-getter with 368 runs, including one of his most celebrated centuries, in Perth. "We all know Australians are fierce competitors but when you do well against them, they shower on you all the compliments. And that is what happened to me. I scored reasonably well and scored a couple of hundreds there (in the Test series)."

Tendulkar said he had dreamt of playing in Australia even before entering his teens. "The association with Australia started long time ago and not in 1991," he said. "To me it started way back in 1985 when I was 12 years old watching those fantastic day-night matches on television. I started dreaming that one day I want to go there and play cricket. It turned into a reality in 1991-92."

The other non-Australian cricketers to have received the Order of Australia honour are West Indian greats Garry Sobers, Clive Lloyd and Brian Lara. Tendulkar was recognised "for his service to Australia-India relations by promoting goodwill, friendship and sportsmanship through the sport of cricket."

Australia's arts minister Simon Crean conferred the award to the cricketer. "Mr Tendulkar, as a member and former Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, has made an outstanding contribution to international cricket for more than 20 years," a statement from the Australian consulate-general read.

Congrats Sachin!! You were great in your peak. But now you are a shadow of yourself. Please retire gracefully! The younger generation turn off their TV when you come to the pitch. They want to watch a fighter like Kohli or Yuvraj - someone who is willing to stand up to the other team's bowlers. They don't want to see old men roll over to other teams bowlers. At least put up a fight. If you can't, retire and enjoy your millions.

THE GREAT MAN little master

Posted by the_way_you_play_it on (November 8, 2012, 6:00 GMT)

@Vaibhav3418 Same old saying again "Sachin scores a century and India loses again", I just thought for a moment why this happens, For me I think this man is a class apart such that even when others in the team fail this guy stands alone and gives the opposition a whack most of the times, for gods sake a team has 11 players and no one can win a game single handedly!!!!! What more do you expect from this man!!! If you do expect more I am afraid you too think that this man is a GOD!!!!!!

Posted by joseyesu on (November 8, 2012, 3:39 GMT)

To me SACHIN, in his early years(21-27) single handedly took the team. But after Dravid, Ganguly,Laxman, Sehwag the honor is shared equally to all.

Posted by coolindianfan on (November 8, 2012, 2:26 GMT)

@Vaibhav3418 ill give u 3 example which will make u eat ur words 1 st was in sharjah where he single handedly took india to the finals and was almost on the verge of winning when he nicked the ball the bowler and keeper(gilchrist) apealed empire gave that not out and he walked because he felt he nicked it had he been laying for records he could have stood his ground like other players.the same goes for a world cup match vs windies in 2011 the empire gave not out but he walked , in ipl 2012 in semifinal the nonstriker called for a run which wasent there he sacrificed his wicket for his nonstrikers mistake he thought for the intrest of mumbai indians ,yet people like u shamelessly blame him to be selfish .numerous ocassions the empires robbed him of centuries he could have reacted arrogantly to them off the field but he smiled and went back.i doubt they purposely turn a blind eye to it. the man of the wc 2011 yuvraj singh dedicated it to sachin that wouldnt be the case if he were selfi

Posted by coolindianfan on (November 8, 2012, 2:12 GMT)

@Vaibhav3418"In world cup sachin scored 2 tons & india couldnt win only those 2 matches else india won all where is impact of sachin's century "just because it is in a losing cause dosent mean it comes easliy ill give u an examle in hos ton vs south africa he was dismissed in tthe 40th over with the score 270 india were all out within 9 overs 297 and shameless critics like u blame lack of sachins centuries far india winning is concerned in his absence we have lost more matches in his absence then won ."Only saved them untill he completed his ton & then himself avoided to take single on the last ball so that next over of steyn should be faced by sreesanth." u call it selfish dhoni did the same thing in wc against south africe but he is a team player . and why do u measure just centuries he has 27 matchwinning 90s , for other players u talk their contribution by runs and for sachin it is centuries by the way 75 matchwinning and match saving is not easy,

Some terrible comments on here. A lot of comments saying that Sachin is selfish. Well the reality is - amongst batsmen, that is a often a GOOD trait! IMO - SRTs 100th International ton was a lowlight in his career, but as I think Harsha Bhogle said - I'll remember the other 99. I think people need to walk a mile in his shoes before they make sweeping statements as to whether SRT is selfish or "only" interested in records. He is probably a bit mindful of them (records) - but any champion who wants to lift their game - has to set goals, that is part & parcel of being a Champ. A lot of people that make these snide comments about him - have probably never played a competitive game of sport in their lives. To those that bag him - whether it be from ignorance or envy, give yourselves an upper cut! I respect SRT - from Oz!

Congrats Mr Master Blaster Firstly. Please stop teasing SRT we even cant reach 1% of his contribution to indian cricket. I started watching cricket because of sachin i simply love his batting.

@Vaibhav3418: its not about the celebration... he did the job...the fact that clearly illustrates his unselfishness is that even after getting to his hundred he didn't throw his wicket away... he was the one who remained not out... what more can a player do for his team?? if you have watched cricket in the 90's, you'd know that the only time indian supporters got some happy moments was because of tendulkar... he scored every run for the people, for his country... india has not won a single tournament or series without a meaningful contribution from tendulkar, and yet if you say HE is selfish, then probably every single person in this world is selfish...

Poeple who followed cricket for such long years with love are the person really knows what Sachin has done to Indian cricket....yes u can compare great players in the current or past era with stats or match winning performance...but I bet none of the human in the world would have underwent such huge expectationa and pressure especialy in late stat and other criteria u can say kallis is better but tell me have ever kallis underwent such huge expectation from millions of people to perform there is always people to share his work load to great effect in his team...untill dada and dravid took the grip it is just sachin....I remember great VVS was not even a regular when Sachin single hanedly won Sharjah match......SACHIN IS ALWAYS GREAT....once I felt reason reason for birth fullfilled when I saw his 25th test cent live in chennai again Aussy...

@ Gladkick In world cup sachin scored 2 tons & india couldnt win only those 2 matches else india won all where is impact of sachin's century ???

Posted by anilrahul on (November 7, 2012, 12:11 GMT)

Do you know this... India have won 2 matches against aus in aus from 1999 till now.. In both of the matches RAHUL DRAVID was the hiest scorer...

Posted by Vaibhav3418 on (November 7, 2012, 11:56 GMT)

naren1983 virat has scored his ton in 1st innings when anything could have happen in match i mean nobody can say india were losing but when sachin scored his 50th ton india were following on & were only 2 wickets away from losing with more than a day left in the match with Sreesanth at other end & unadkat left. Even smith crirtised sachin for this act of completing century & then not saving the tail enders in front of steyn. Only saved them untill he completed his ton & then himself avoided to take single on the last ball so that next over of steyn should be faced by sreesanth.

Posted by Vaibhav3418 on (November 7, 2012, 11:48 GMT)

g.narsimha yes u r right out of his 100 centuries 50 resulted in india's win but even without sachin's tons india wins 50% of their matches then wts the use of sachin's ton ???

Posted by   on (November 7, 2012, 11:47 GMT)

I don't know who give the right to these people to criticize sachin who even doesn't know about cricket. If you want to judge him ask those great bowler i.e. wasim, waqar, mc grath, donald and spcl warne & murli. I dont think you are better judge than them. Or you want to say even bradman didn't have knowledge about cricket who said he play like himself (has anyone before or after him get that honour). i think the people who hate him must start watching cricket after 2009 because before that i don't remember any period when he fail (accept when he was captain). Its not sachin honor but Australia honor to give him that award. I even dont see any batsman who is or was as blaster as he was in his younger age.

@VAIBHAV3418: Mr. Panditha, go and see who is the highest scorer when India wont the 2011 world cup!!!

@ coolindianfan i think u dont have cricket knowledge sehwag & kohli's st rate in not below 75. sehwag's is 104 & kohli's is 86.

Posted by Vaibhav3418 on (November 7, 2012, 11:30 GMT)

@ coolindianfan when sachin reached his 50th ton in test india was just a foot away from losing there was no need to celebrate. whole india was sad for that loss but only sachin smiled & celebrated it like he won 4 world cups at a time. If he felt for india he would have been sad bcoz at the india is in trouble but he felts for himself & has nothing to do with india thats why celebrated the ton.

Nice Answer by Navaneetha. It would have been more respect for sachin to recieved the Award had he retire from All forms of Cricket.

Posted by Porky_PigTheToon on (November 7, 2012, 10:48 GMT)

@ getsetgopk - Had Ind played more matches with Pak in 90s, Pak bowlers' records would have been ordinary just like SRT literally pwned your bowlers Akram, Waqar and Akhtar in 2003 WC. And the impact was such that Akhtar even refused to bowl as Akram said in an interview. Learn to give respect if you want your players to be respected. Riaz picked 5-for against Ind in last ODI-WC match but still Pak lost. Does it mean he was playing for record / personal milestone ?

Posted by Rajesh_india_1990 on (November 7, 2012, 10:47 GMT)

@Getsetgopak lol..if he plays pakistan more that time, definitely waquar And wasim's career ended from the hands of sachin like 2003wc..of course same like shoaib akhthar

Sachin is a Legend(No Doubt), But He Should Quit Playing Cricket, its time for him to Move on, Selecting Sachin in 15 Member team is simply a 14 member team with a Dummy Player as of the Present Indian cricket team Condition/Situation, he is not that Sachin he Used to be, He is Aged, as age goes up, Fitness levels Come down and he cannot make Big in the Future,if he walks away a Talented Youngster would make his fortune. He should better Concentrate on the Political career, he could do some thing there..

congrats Sachin, you have once again made Indians proud. All the best for your future.God Bless Us All. from a loyal Dravid fan

Posted by sachin_vvsfan on (November 7, 2012, 10:32 GMT)

@getsetgopk I thought sachin put shoaib/waqar/akram in their place remember( WC 2003?). he was troubled by akhtar in his debut series but sachin always made come back against such bowlers. Not sure you are aware but india used to play pak regularly in 90's and it was other batsmen failure that made india weaker side . His 136 against pak against the same bowlers you mentioned still stands out as one of his best. You simply are jealous mate.

That said the timing of award is not right. I think it is more of a poliitcal decision given sachin's mass following in india(which is waning in recent times)

Posted by 777aditya on (November 7, 2012, 10:06 GMT)

Wow! Of all the plaudits received so far, Sachin must surely consider this very special! To be honored by the country, whose bowling attack he has ground to dust so often in his glitzy career must feel real good. Wonder who is next contender for this award - Ganguly or Harbhajan?!

Posted by shinewindies on (November 7, 2012, 9:45 GMT)

I am an Indian and this is to all those people who are Sachin bashers, you know nothing about the game and you are just a layman when it comes to understanding cricket, that's why you criticize one of the best sportsmen of his genration worldwide, he was,he is and he would always be a match winner, just bcoz he has not won many matches for India when the equation is 50 required from 30 you cannot describe him as one who is selfish, bcoz whenever he has performed be it in tests or onedayers 80% of times India has won Handsomely, bcoz whenever he would bat he'll make sure the match finishes before reaching to any sort of crunch situation, that's Sachin for you not unlike Dhoni who at times would make sure the match reaches to a tense level before he starts to open up.( having said that i am still a huge fan of Dhoni). God bless the only God of cricket.

Posted by 100_rabh on (November 7, 2012, 9:43 GMT)

On current form, Sachin is still the best batsman in the current Indian test X1. Virat undoubtedly best in the shorter formats but too early to say something similar for him in tests. What Sachin lacked in last 12-18 months was a daddy test hundred that would have catapulted his avg for the said period in mid 40s at least. Not bad considering 8 of the test matches were played in the UK and Australia!Really want him to play for 2 more years at least

@Vaibhav3418 & @Al_bundy1 ...Are you talking about the so called youngsters..? Do you know the age of 18 Sachin was the first outside player hired by Yorkshire County in their History... He equally contributed for Indian cricket & Mumbai cricket..(inspite of playing less matches)... continuing the passion for the game for 23 yrs is not a simple thing...

@getsetgopk dude i think akthar is just an overatted bowler more often then not indian batsmen were all over him .u talk abt 99 but do u remember wc 03 right?against wasim and waquar he won some and he lost some ." no wonder his dream was to play in Auss in that time period."its not up to him to decide whom he wants to play its the board

Talking about being selfish Lara scored 400 for the sake of doing it. It happens at odd times for legends to take a record or two for themseleves. But the legacy and what they have left to the team is what matters. And you know what Sachin has done for India - a bunch of highly talented youngsters who were inspired by him to take the sport seriously. Right from Shewag to our Virat everyone has said that they started to play cricket inspired by Sachin. That is what LEGACY means. And Sachin has surely left that to us. Some guy in NZ names his son after the man - That is Legacy!!! I can go on about Sachin.

@ ThumpingWin Not a Problem sir. when you score 100 centuries and lose 34 out of it and win/draw the remaining i dont think it is a bad record. Burden? Sachin has never been a burden and wont be. The whole of India and our expectations on him is a burden on him. A match winner is not the only one who scores a breezy 30 or 40 and get the team cross the winning line. IF it happens in first innings it is still a contribution to the team. I couldnt agree more to what naren1983 has commented here.

Please people stop talking about his earlier records and centuries.. In plenty of his centuries India has lost the match..Right now he is a burden on Indian team.. Selecting matches which he wants to play is rubbish and playing every other format paying money is more rubbish.. Right now he is acting really selfish.. I have lost respect for him.. The sad thing is that in India everything works on money BCCI lets sachin choose and play because people pay for it and also they dont drop a player like him for same reason.. After series against ENG he will again score runs and extend retirement.. Stop being so selfish sachin u are losing ona lot of fans.. time will come when only a handful of fans will be there to support u..

Posted by Akash_23 on (November 7, 2012, 6:40 GMT)

I feel sorry for all those who say that Sachin has not contributed to Indian cricket. Do they feel that anybody can do more than what he has done? He deserves all the honours he is getting and as per his retirement, even if he retires from the ODI format, he should carry on in the tests at least till the time India can get a middle order even half the strength of what it used to be, with Dravid, Ganguly and Laxman playing alongside Sachin. Hope he gets back to form in the series against England and also guides the youngsters to develop around him.

Posted by naren1983 on (November 7, 2012, 6:15 GMT)

@Vaibhav3418: I strongly disagree your statement. Dont say Sachin is not a winner, look at more wins for India when he scored 90s & 100s. Also your statement "Playing for Records"proves wrong as he had got out most times in 90s than any other players. Only one man can't take India into No.1. I really appreciate Dhoni & team to take India into No.1 as its all team efforts, not an individual effort. I agree Sachin is not a leader, but 100% team man. Celebrating 100 doesn't mean Celebraing loss, but it shows how he gives tough to the opponents like Virat Kohli did celebrate his Maiden 100 in recent Australia's tour where India lost 4-0. Do you say Virat Celebrating India's Loss. No, Every Indian playing for Country to make pride of our Nation and Win Matches. One more, Sachin doesn't play T20 international as he said the Team is playing really well after Winning 2007 Final, So he decently left T20. But he enjoys playing CLT20, IPL as it helps franchises and younger players to learn.

hey guys ur saying dhoni is committed to team and took india to no:1. say one example that he was committed to INDIAN cricket. is he took INDIA to no:1 alone, its the team effort more over the contribution from sehwag gambir the one and only sachin . see his statistics. dhoni plays only when some one on the other end playing very weel. he plays in jealous to decrease the other end batsmens impact on match. he plays for avg to be in no one place . he smashes 6 when we require 6 runs in 4 balls. but he will play defence when we require 50 in 30 balls. the selfish of cricket is dhoni. dont ever comment sachin . he is the god of cricket who dedicated his whole life to cricket. 90% of present INDIAn cricket players are motivated by sachin and he thier inspiraion

THOSE WHO criticise SACHIN on his present form should bear in the mind that out of his 100 centureis majority were scored outside ind , his ave is better in outside than home & his 50 centuries resulted in IND victories pl check the stats before comenting , more over in 90s he single handedly bore the burden of IND batting as there was a famous saying in the opposition camps that if get sachin cheaply than half the IND batting is gone as at that time our batting was not that formidable as of now .if u cant respect a legend pl dont insult we are more than enough .

Imagine what would have happened had they retired in 2000. India would have been no.1 in tests for the past decade and won all the subsequent world cups. I'm pretty sure India would have owned ASHES too under dhoni....LOL.

those who said sachin didnt contribute much to team than dhoni yuvi and kholi should know that the team coopration is more important to win matches there r many matches where sachin is the only batsman who scored runs and the teams targetting only his wicket and the stadium will be empty after he gets out and sachin dint get the comfort that yuvi ,virat and dhoni got if he would have been in team like australia or south africa he would have scored many more hundreds and would have got more respect and who knows he would have been considered higher than broadman so give respect he deserve

contd@"Sachin never took india to no.1 position anytime in his career but Dhoni took in all formats within 2-3 yrs of cricket." sachin was the biggest reason why we reached the no 1 position ,cricket is a team game .if u know."sachin skips ODI's for india giving fitness reasons but plays full IPL & CLT20 this shows his uselessness as a cricketer & neglegible commitment to india." he also did that after he yet again decimated southafrica with 200 * when he was at the peak he missed odis by the dozens for the team to be ready for the world cup. but critics will purposely neglect these factsfor an obvious reasons.". He completed his 100th ton just for the sake of it in 150 balls against the minnows & india lost that match too". if his strike rate of 77 is selfish then the so called team players career is an epitome of selfishness with a career strike rate of 71 haha. by the way sehwag and virat kohli had a strike rate of below 75 they r ur so called match winners and team players haha."

@ Vaibhav3418 "Sachin plays for records, dats why slows down in 90's" for ur kind info sachin is the only cricketer in the history of crciket who has reached 100 with six 6 .haha go on runting ur imaginary baseless theory u appear as mindless as all sachin critics whos sole purose is to belive in logic and go about runting ur baseless theoris ."He is talented but not match winner". he has 62 man of the matches ,the next contemporary pointing has 30 lara has 29.if he is not a match winner who is."Even kohli has contributed more to indian team in 2 yrs than sachin in 23 yrs."india was called a one man band throughout 90s kohli cannot . wasim akram " u get him out and we are half way through, steve waugh"we won to a country but lost to a man"."He celebrated india's loss against SA when he scored his 50th test ton." as if his ton is responsible for the loss he was he only player who remained unconquered (111*) and critics blame him for the loss.

Another achievement for the Master Blaster. Those who criticize him would not have felt the pure bliss during the times when he used to wage the lone battles against Australians. It was a honour and a privilege to watch him bat then. He has had to adapt his game with age and according to conditions. People who compare him with current players will never understand the quality of opposition he has faced and the adverse conditions

Even though I hate sachin now, can't forget his past acheivements. He has owned Sydney cricket ground by piling up runs there. A well deserved award. Thanks to Australian PM jullia gillard

Congratulations Sachin Tendulkar. But i don't feel he is eligible as a cricketer. Yes, he played well against Australia. But even Dravid, Laxman played well against Australia. I would say Sobers, Llyod, Lara were eligible and from India it should have been Dravid or Laxman. But...It is all for political reason they make these awards, especially this award to Sachin. Sachin is just a cricketer, not really a team player. So, how have Australians awarded it to Player like Sachin is something Puzzling me as Australians generally give more importance to Team players than just players. I agree with @Vaibhav3418 , @Al_Bundy1.

A Champ! I think SRT should retire from International short forms & concentrate on Tests. I think India need him around as I think he is more value than Sehwag. Now that India have lost Dravid & VVS in a short period of time, + I have doubts that Sehwag is ever going to stop his downward spiral as a Test batsmen, SRT is more indispensible now than ever before. Good luck Sachin, I have a feeling he'll do well against England.

Just another flat deck bully with an inflated average from playing on roads against Bangladesh!

Posted by   on (November 6, 2012, 23:18 GMT)

what the hell you all are talking about sachin???,,though i am not indian, i respect sachin as good cricketer..he is great,,he always played for india and only for india,,,stop this all against sachin..he is great and the no. 1 legend..

Posted by Al_Bundy1 on (November 6, 2012, 23:02 GMT)

Hey Australia - U can keep Sachin. It will be a big relief for Indian cricket. Dhoni, Yuvraj and Kohli have contributed more to indian team in last 5 yrs than sachin in 23 yrs. We need more cricketers like Dhoni, Yuvraj and Kohli, not 10dulkar.

Posted by   on (November 6, 2012, 21:29 GMT)

It's great to see Sachin getting so much respect from Australians. The legend thoroughly deserves this!

Posted by Vaibhav3418 on (November 6, 2012, 21:28 GMT)

Sachin plays for records, dats why slows down in 90's. He is talented but not match winner. Even kohli has contributed more to indian team in 2 yrs than sachin in 23 yrs. He celebrated india's loss against SA when he scored his 50th test ton. Sachin never took india to no.1 position anytime in his career but Dhoni took in all formats within 2-3 yrs of cricket. Sachin skips ODI's for india giving fitness reasons but plays full IPL & CLT20 this shows his uselessness as a cricketer & neglegible commitment to india. He completed his 100th ton just for the sake of it in 150 balls against the minnows & india lost that match too. Dhoni won 2 IPL, 2 World cups, 1 ClT20 in 8 yrs of cricket & Sachin didnt win any of it in 23 yrs of cricket.

He should now retire & give chance to youngsters. Rahane, Pujara, etc all are waiting. He is not playing for india but he is playing with india.

Many cricketers might be very less talented than him but they are committed to their team unlike sachin.

You can't call him 'sir' he hasn't earned that honour

Posted by   on (November 6, 2012, 20:51 GMT)

Also for the kids in cricinfo threads who were in diapers when Sachin was scoring his hundreds, his first 4 Test centuries came on foreign soil - Old Trafford, Sydney, WACA and Wanderers. Special note on the WACA hundred on a fast, bouncy pitch that terrorized all the other Indians on the same match (none of the other Indian batsmen crossed 50 in either innings).

@getsetgopk - you overestimate Wasim and Waqar. They were great bowlers undoubtedly. Sachin has played both of them rather successfully along with other Pakistani greats which include Abdul Qadir and Imran Khan himself. Abdul Qadir (a legend himself) recently called Sachin, the "Kohinoor of World Cricket". Learn to respect legends without country bias or prejudice. I respect a lot of Pakistani cricketers and dont demonize them just because of our political differences.

Posted by ExtremeSpeed on (November 6, 2012, 20:34 GMT)

@getsetgopk - It wasn't Sachin's fault India lost 290 was still a massive total. Bangladesh team were just better on the day. Sachin is a legend and just because his century was against Bangladesh what about his century against Namibia, Kenya, Zimbabwe etc? what's the matter? he's a joy to watch bat I don't know if some people are jealous or something of him he deserves an honour for his contributions to Cricket congrats from Bangladesh fan.

Child prodigy to Order of Australia honour. With every Sachin hater, he is getting larger success. The name is enough Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. Watch the fire works from 15th Nov on Star Cricket & Star Cricket HD. Congrats Sachin - Jai Hind

What else is left for him. People has to invent new awards to offer this legend.....

Posted by   on (November 6, 2012, 19:05 GMT)

Indeed, it's honor for the award itself. Love you GOD. Cheers for success.

Posted by zwartedepiet on (November 6, 2012, 18:49 GMT)

Good on Sachin. well deserved honour. Forget Matthew haydens ridiculous statements. hayden will be forgotten in time, even in Australia, Sachin will live long in the memories of all Australians lucky enough to have seen him play. He continues to be not only the greatest batsman of two generations (this one alongside Amla), but a bastion of sportsmanship. One must commend the Australian government for recognising all the joy this man has bought to Australian cricket lovers. Not just a good PR exercise, well deserved. Hope Sachin dominates the Poms.

I'm an big fan of Sachin.. its fantastic to hear the good news. Sachin deserves it... I would like to see Sachin playing many more years further and have to receive lot of awards as such.. Good Luck Sachin

Posted by getsetgopk on (November 6, 2012, 18:25 GMT)

Yeah why not I think everyone should award him for what he did in Asia cup by scoring a century and helping India loose to a team like Bangladesh. Wasim and Waqar in their hay days would have turned his career into dust had he played more regularly against Pakistan in the 90's just as Shoaib Akhtar put him in his rightful place in the 99 series when he bagged both Dravid and Tendulkar with back to back deliveries. The most devastating teams of the 90's and 80's were Pakistan and WI, no wonder his dream was to play in Auss in that time period.

Posted by Porky_PigTheToon on (November 6, 2012, 18:19 GMT)

Okay. One more award to Master Blaster. Congrats.

Cogratulation little master Sachin Tendulkar....

Posted by Pedpathpres on (November 6, 2012, 18:03 GMT)

Well deserved-- he has been an excellent role model for years , and an extremely courageous batsman , who ( as Virat Kohli said) had to carry the side on numerous occasions. Congratulations !

God has blessed India with a human being and sportsman like Sachin Tendulkar, I am one of those lucky human who has seen Sachin play and I just cant stop feeling proud about it... God bless, long live Sir Sachin Tendulkar..!!
