Bangladesh v West Indies

At Dhaka, December 3, 2002 (day/night)

15-Apr-2004
At Dhaka, December 3, 2002 (day/night). West Indies won by 86 runs. Toss: West Indies. One-day international debuts: Anwar Hossain Piju; D. B. Powell.
For the third match running, Drakes claimed four wickets - this time they came in two successive overs. Bangladesh fought back as the youngster Alok Kapali joined debutant Anwar Hossain Piju to add 67, and Alok - originally regarded as a leg-spinner - continued to wage a lone battle with a wonderful 92-ball 89 not out, the third-highest one-day international score for Bangladesh. Again, the West Indian batsmen saved their best until last, smashing 180 in the final 25 overs. Spinners Naimur Rahman and Mohammad Rafiq bowled well earlier, but Gayle and Samuels gave West Indies the platform on which to build 281.
