Nagraj Gollapudi
15-Apr-2010
At Durban, April 25, 2009. Deccan Chargers won by 12 runs. Toss: Deccan Chargers. Deccan Chargers 168-9 (20 overs) (A. C. Gilchrist 35, H. H. Gibbs 58, D. R. Smith 35; S. L. Malinga 3-19, D. J. Bravo 3-34); Mumbai Indians 156-7 (20 overs) (S. R. Tendulkar 36, J-P. Duminy 47; P. P. Ojha 3-21). Deccan Chargers 2 pts. Man of the Match: P. P. Ojha.
Pragyan Ojha showed why he was considered India's leading left-arm spinner, taking three wickets in as many overs, including the prize scalps of Tendulkar and Duminy after a rousing start. Mumbai had needed 85 from ten overs after the mid-innings break, but the Chargers' bowlers made sure of a third straight victory. Earlier, Mumbai's attack had also done well at the end of the innings: only 43 runs came in the last seven overs, for the loss of seven wickets.
