Pinal Shah makes room, RP follows him, and he flicks it into the on side, and Deccan are celebrating, it's three wins in three for them
So three matches into the season, Deccan have won more than they did whole season last year. They bounced back well even after losing all their momentum in the middle and late overs. They bowled well, and won the game practically with just three bowlers - edwards, RP, and Ojha.
In fact this is a game that will be remebered for superb bowling in good batting conditions, especially the two slingers at the death. Edwards gave away 16 for two wickets in his last two overs, and Malinga went for just six and three wickets in his last two, including a double-wicket maiden. In between Ojha proved to be the difference between the two teams, taking three wickets in three overs - Sachin, JP Duminy, and Dhawan.
And for that very reason, Ojha gets the Man-of-the-Match award. He says: "I was very nervous, bowling to the best batsman in the world [Tendulkar]. My team backed me, they thought I could do it, so it was good to pull it off."
Tendulkar, the losing captain, says: "Till the 10-over break we were doing well, and we lost our momentum. This time the time-out has gone against us, but hopefull the next time it goes our way."
Glichrist, the winning captain, says: "It's a little milestone for us. We have got more points than we did last year."
On that note, okay bye.
goes for the short one, Zaheer makes room, and flat-bats it straight over the bowler's head
and this is the game secured, slower ball, beats a swing from the batsman
and there RP gets his wicket, that surely has to be the game, it's a fulltoss, and Harbhajan's bat twirls in his hands as he gives it all his power, and the ball flies to long-on
can Harbhajan do it? his second six, sees the length ball, goes inside-out, clears Gibbs at long-off, his second six
and he nearly gets one, just back of a length, on the stumps, Zaheer makes room again, slices it towards third man, but lands safe
22 required in the last over. Deccan are the favourites. RP will get himself to get a wicket or two with batsmen throwing their bat around
superb again, one can't do much with an off-stump yorker, Zaheer gets the best result possible, a single to cover
lovely bowling, saw Zaheer make room again, went wide of off this time, and beat him. What an over
slower ball, 127ks, surprises Harbhajan, and all he manages is to drag it to midwicket
Zaheer is looking to make room right away, Edwards follows him, 142ks, Zaheer manages to get it to long-off
and Edwards has turned it for Deccan, what a big wicket, this was full and straight, Bravo was caught in the crease, looking to get inside it and go leg side, but Edwards was too sharp for that and hit him right in front. Is this the game?
it's Edwards first, and what a yorker, on middle, Harbhajan makes room, gets inside half of the bat, and gets a single to mid-on
26 in two overs, still more than two a ball. RP and Fidel should bowl the next two overs. But in what order?
dot ball again, Venu gets his back, yorker.
oh Venu, fulltoss, and Bravo flicks it over midwicket again, where Harmeet (he is having a bad day), does well to get to the ball, but parries it into the boundary
dot ball! full, hit straight back to Venu
full, outside off, played to long-off
that Harbhajan bat is feeling good, fulltoss, and heaved over midwicket again, for a six this time
Bravo steps down, gets too close to pitch, and can't clear midwicket
38 off 18, Venu to bowl, big risk?
slower and shorter this time, Bravo is early into the shot, and just manages to chip it over Edwards
finally that Caribbean flick from Bravo works, length ball, into the pads, and extravagant backlift, and then over midwicket. To his compatriot
