India A 181 and 449 for 2 (Jaffer 218, Sriram 104*) drew with Warwickshire 537
Wasim Jaffer preserved India A's unbeaten record in superlative fashion, by smashing a wonderful double-century to turn a potential struggle for survival into a joyful end-of-tour party.
After following on 356 runs in arrears, Jaffer batted for nearly six hours, making 218 out of India's healthy 449 for 2. He added 151 for the first wicket with his captain, Shiv Sunder Das, who was eventually caught and bowled by Collins Obuya for 65, and 247 with Sridharan Sriram, who finished unbeaten on 104.
India A's tourists now return home to prepare for the resumption of their senior international season, and judging by the progress made on this 11-match unbeaten tour, there will be some healthy competition for places for October's Test series against New Zealand.
