Former Bangladesh captain Khaled Mahmud is likely to be taken to Singapore for treatment after he suffered a stroke on Saturday morning. A family member confirmed on Monday that the BCB is arranging an ambulance to the airport this afternoon.
Mahmud, the team's manager and a board director, went into coma on Sunday evening when he was shifted to the intensive care unit of United Hospital in Dhaka. BCB president Nazmul Hassan and several directors visited him soon after an emergency meeting in Mirpur.
Mahmud was Bangladesh's third Test captain, having led them in nine games in 2003. He also led them in 15 ODIs the same year. He retired from international cricket in 2006 and went into coaching and administration soon afterwards.
