†PAKISTAN v WEST INDIES 1981-82

At Perth, December 19

15-Apr-1983
At Perth, December 19. West Indies won by seven wickets. The day before the match Clive Lloyd had spoken strongly to his side about the poor start they had made to their tour. The results were immediate, this being as convincing a West Indian victory as it sounds. After getting away to a good start, Pakistan, who chose to bat, collapsed. Three of their batsmen paid the penalty of trying to slog Richards, and Garner and Marshall were too much for the lower order. West Indies had an anxious moment when Bacchus and Richards went early in their innings, but Haynes played responsibly and had excellent support from Lloyd and Gomes
Man of the Match: D. L. Haynes. Attendance: 6,005.
