State coaching panel named

The WA Cricket Association has today formally named its new coaching panel to assist Coach Michael Veletta in shaping and guiding the future direction of the Western Warriors.

Michael Veletta welcomed the appointment of former WA team-mates Geoff Marsh and Bruce Reid to the State Coaching Panel and said that he was looking forward to forming a close working relationship with all of its members.

"We (the coaching panel) are all looking forward to assisting the Western Warriors and West Australian cricket, in improving on our already solid standing in Australian cricket. I am confident that we can provide the players with the necessary resources to improve their all round game," Michael Veletta said.

Michael Veletta also said that the addition of Don Weir to the panel would assist in further developing and fine-tuning what is already a raw and talented fielding side, with the likes of Mike Hussey, Brad Hogg and Brendon Julian in the team.
