3 Number of targets higher than the 205 South Africa set Australia in this match which have been chased successfully in T20 internationals. The highest chase in T20Is also came against South Africa, by West Indies last year at the same venue when they chased down a target of 232. Including this, three of the top four successful chases in T20Is have come at the Wanderers.
161 Runs added by the stand between Glenn Maxwell and David Warner - the fourth highest in T20 internationals and the second highest in a chase. Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson added an unbroken 171 against Pakistan in Hamilton earlier this year, which is the highest. This is only the seventh time that a pair has added 150 or more runs in a T20I. It was also the highest stand for Australia for any wicket, beating the 133-run partnership between Warner and Shane Watson against India in the 2012 World T20.
322 Runs scored by batsmen batting at No. 3 or lower in this match - the highest in a T20 international. The 409 runs scored in this match are the highest in a T20 international in which the openers haven't made a fifty. The previous highest was 388 runs scored in a match between England and New Zealand in 2013.
2010 The last time Australia won a T20I chasing a target of 160 or more, which was against Pakistan in the semi-final of the 2010 World T20. Since then, Australia had lost 12 consecutive T20 internationals while chasing targets of 160-plus runs. This was Australia's only second such win in 18 attempts.
26 Runs conceded by John Hastings in the final over of South Africa's innings - equal second highest any bowler has conceded in the 20th over of a T20I innings. Rubel Hossain conceded 29 runs against West Indies in a match in Dhaka in 2012, which is the highest. Click here for a list of most runs conceded off an over.
409 Runs scored in this match - the eighth highest in a T20I and only the 14th time 400 or more runs have been scored. The most runs scored in a T20 international also came at the Wanderers, between the hosts and West Indies last year, when 467 runs were hit.
1 Number of times before this match three batsmen batting at No. 3 or lower had each scored 70-plus in a T20 international. Faf du Plessis, Warner and Maxwell made 79, 77 and 75 respectively in this match. The only other such instance had come last year in a match between England and Australia in Cardiff.
3 Number of times in the last five T20 internationals two of Australia's bowlers have conceded 40 or more runs in a match. Before, that there had been only seven such instances for them. Josh Hazlewood and Hastings conceded 50 and 42 runs respectively in this match. Three Australia bowlers conceded 40-plus runs at the Adelaide Oval and two bowlers did so at the SCG in the recent series against India.
3 Number of instances when an Australia bowler has conceded more runs in a T20I than Hazlewood in this match. Brett Lee's 56 runs against West Indies at the Oval in the 2009 World T20 is the highest. There are two other instances of an Australia bowler conceding 50 runs in a T20I.
152 Runs scored totally by Warner and Maxwell in Australia's innings - the highest by No. 4 and No. 5 in a T20 international innings. Eoin Morgan (85) and Paul Collingwood (57) had scored a total of 142 in a T20I at the same venue against the hosts, which was the previous highest tally.
