Former Indian spinner Sunil Joshi has been appointed coach of Jammu & Kashmir's Ranji Trophy team for the upcoming season, replacing Bishan Bedi. The appointment was announced by Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) general secretary ML Nehru today.
"The former Indian cricketer has been appointed as a full-time coach of the J&K Ranji team for the current cricket season, till April," Nehru said. He said that Joshi's contract shall come up for review once the current domestic season is over.
Nehru further said that J&K, under Joshi, will undergo a conditioning camp starting today at PCA Stadium in Mohali, before proceeding to Bilaspur for their first match of the season, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, against Delhi on November 6.
