Shakib to undergo surgery
Shakib Al Hasan is likely to undergo a surgery on his left hand later this month. He sustained the injury during a 50-over final against Sri Lanka in January this year and only returned to action in the latter part of the Nidahas Trophy in March.
Shakib continued to play with pain in the little finger of his left hand, using injections to get by. But now he has decided to have a surgery in order to recover in time for the Asia Cup in mid-September.
"I have to undergo a surgery, so the discussion now is from where to get it done," Shakib said. "I want it to happen as soon as possible. It will most probably be before the Asia Cup."
