It's the only way to take the sport to a global audience.
It will only add more clutter to an already packed cricket calendar.

It is good if 20-20 format included in olympics

eliminate twenty 20 World cup with cricket in Olympic!!

I think T20 would be a great fit for the Olympics. It would certainly introduce the sport to a larch chunk of the world, USA, China, Eastern Europe, South America.

Yes it should be and why not after football and tennis people do follow cricket. Such event and medal attached to it will attract more nations to get involve with it, probably producing lot more genius in the game what all already are there..

Well, 'less global' baseball has been there, baseball needs up to 3-3.5 hrs to complete. Cricket can do it in less than 3.
Standard of Cricket will Increase in many Countries. and we can surely expect a better and bigger World Cup.
USA and China will have a go at Cricket, that is extremely good for the 10/12 Countries active in Cricket. and for the Boost of Cricket in a Country named "Internet"!!

It's the only way to take the sport to a global audience.Teams will get money from govt also.

Yes it should be added. It is the most exciting sport in the world and West Indies should play as separate islands.
June 29, 2014, 7:13 GMT
I dont think this is a good idea as doing this would decrease worldcup's importance and teams would focus on getting gold medals in olympics rather winning the worldcup.

Yes may be the answer in the utopian world. However cricket largely remains a game of commonwealth countries, with a large gap between major test nations and associates!! Unless this gap is addressed, cricket in olympics will be a failed experiment. Sports like football, with their natural global appeal are more suited for olympics! But sports like baseball, cricket lack the universal appeal!!!

No. Please keep cricket away from the Olympics. Having cricket at the Olympics will unnecessarily subject the international cricketers to the draconian WADA clauses. It will also lead to an overdose of cricket and overburdening of cricketers. Cricket and Olympics have remained separate for the last 130 odd years and can remain separate for the next 130 odd years as well. Unlike football and hockey, cricket is now played in three different formats i.e. Tests, 50-50, 20-20 and having just one format (20-20) at the Olympics, whose length of each game is double that of a football match makes absolutely no sense.
Should Voges have been given time to reach his 300?
Should Ben Stokes have been given out obstructing the field?
Should South Africa have lost points for drawing a rain-marred series?
