Opening batsman Sean Silver was the star of the African Under-19 Championship in August 2007 as Namibia qualified ahead of Kenya for the Under-19 World Cup in 2008. He finished the competition with an average of 102.66, scoring two unbeaten hundreds and a 73 in the final against Kenya, where his off-spin also earned him two wickets. His partnership at the top of the order with Raymond Van Schoor looks full of promise and it would be no surprise if Silver were to break into the senior side before too long.
