2.6 to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Appeal for caught behind. Starc is convinced. Umpires confer, send it upstairs. Was this a bump ball or a call for fair catch? Third ump says bump ball. The attempted yorker at 140ks landed beside the the batter's front foot. It was angling in towards off, Gurbaz tried to jam it with a straightish bat. There was a small gap between bat and pad, and he did indeed get an edge as the toe of the bat dug into the ground. The ball hovered and went low to Porel's right. He took it cleanly. KKR's highest opening stand for the season so far ends. 48/1 19.3 to R Powell, Pinned in front, given out lbw! Starc strikes but now Powell wants to review. He was almost starting to walk off. Full and straight on middle and leg from around the stumps, he was deep in th ecrease and misses the tuck, clearly beaten for pace. Three reds and Powell has to continue his trudge back. 203/7 19.4 to AS Roy, THE FLYING CHAMEERA HAS PULLED OFF A SCREAMERRRRRRR! The catch of IPL 2025? Perhaps! Full and on the pad, Roy flicks it nonchalantly over square leg. Looks to be destined to go for a maximum but deep backward square leg charges to his left and flings himself towards the ball and hangs on. 203/8
3 | 0 | 46 | 1 | 15.33 | 4 | 5 | 2 | 6 | 0 | |
16.5 to A Raghuvanshi, All height, no distance. Raghuvanshi had to go for it and he goes irrespective, given KKR's batting might in the dugout. Charges down the track early, giving himself the room. Chameera bowls the legcutter outside off. He reaches out and slices it straight to sweeper cover. End of a fine innings, perhaps at the right time for KKR. 174/5

6.4 to SP Narine, Pinned lbw, that looked dead. Narine slogged across the line but the 97ks legbreak landed right in front of middle and straightened a touch, skidded through to beat bat and hit him on the back pad as it slanted towards the ground.. 85/2 17.3 to RK Singh, Rinkooooooo..... goneee!!! Thought he had connected it well. This is what Rinku had done all the hard work for - to cash in at the death. He misses out and admonishes himself as he walks back. Gets down to play the slog but hits it straight to Starc at the edge of the long-on boundary. 177/6

7.2 to AM Rahane, Rahane does a Ponting, walks away before being given LBW. Was a length ball from around the wicket that landed around fourth and skidded straight. Rahane's feet were jammed and he was beaten on the flick both by angle and pace. Hawk-Eye shows that was smashing leg. Couple of quick wickets for DC after KKR's flier. 91/3 9.2 to VR Iyer, Iyer skies it straight up and bags a single-figure score. The 90ks fullish ball was angling away well outside off, Iyer had a big swipe across the line. He was reaching out, may have wanted to hit it across too, got it right off the bottom. Vipraj takes a few strides from cover to take a simple catch. 113/4

0.2 to Abishek Porel, The anti-match-up works for KKR. This was a case of the batter trying to cash in and miscuing. Porel danced down early to get the 90ks ball on a full length, he tried to slash it over extra cover. Bat turned in hand, Russell came in from cover take an easy catch.. 4/1
2 | 0 | 19 | 1 | 9.50 | 5 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
4.3 to KK Nair, Big appeal from Vaibhav for lbw. There were two sounds. There's a longish chat about the edge between him and Rahane, they take the review. First replay and it looks a fantastic decision as the sound came off the bat hitting the ground, not ball. Nair's walking before ball tracking. His front foot had gotten to fourth stump to a full ball spearing in. The close-faced bat jammed the ground as Nair tried to flick it square, the ball pitched just in front of the crease and hit him on the left-half of the front boot. Hawk-Eye shows it'd go on to smash off stump. No heroics from Nair tonight. 43/2

17.2 to AR Sharma, Ashutosh falls and with that DC's hopes. Varun is bowling from around the wicket with three me deep on the leg side. And so when Ashutosh sees the length ball around middle, he looks to explore the off side. Goes for the reverse hit over third but hits it straight to Narine at backward point. Either side of that fielder, it would have been runs. 160/7 17.3 to MA Starc, That is highhhhhhh and not long. Flatter length ball slanting away from him, Starc looks to slog it across the line but skies it high. Gurbaz comes forward a few steps, calls clearly and takes it. Two-in-two for Varun. 160/8
4 | 0 | 29 | 3 | 7.25 | 10 | 0 | 3 | 0 | 0 | |
13.2 to AR Patel, And Narine has the last laugh to get Axar for the fourth time in T20 cricket. Narine comes around the wicket and digs it in the surface at a quicker pace. Almost like a fast bowler's offcutter. Axar looks to go back and loft it over extra cover but lobs it towards Rana, who takes a few steps to his right and takes that. The DC captain walks back with a grimace but he's played a gem. 136/4 13.6 to T Stubbs, Through him! Narine's the boss and he shows why with a double-wicket over. Slips in another length ball on middle, Stubbs looks to push it straight back but is beaten on the inside. The ball deflects off his front pad onto the stumps. The trajectory drew Stubbs forward, but the dip did him in. KKR are back in this big time. 138/5 15.2 to F du Plessis, There's the big blow. Narine gets du Plessis, just why he perhaps chose to bowl off before the death overs. Narine floats the carrom ball outside leg, anticipating du Plessis to take on the midwicket boundary. Du Plessis clears his front leg to heave it over the on side but finds out Rinku at deep midwicket to perfection. DC have slipped from 136 for 3 to 146 for 6 now. 146/6
2 | 0 | 22 | 1 | 11.00 | 5 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 1 | |
19.5 to V Nigam, Goes for a fancy shot and is knocked over! Nigam looks to reverse swipe it over third but never manages to get under it. The ball dips under him and makes a mess of the stumps. A turbo-charged cameo comes to an end, in vain. 189/9 |
