21.4 to Rajin Saleh, it's that doosra again, Muralitharan lands it on the right length outside off stump, Saleh gets forward to defend, the ball gets a thick outside edge and Jayawardene at slip takes it low, comfortably taken. 61/3 25.6 to Shahriar Nafees, Nafees gets frustrated, tossed up outside off stump, Nafees's left foot is rooted to the crease while his right foot was stretched across pointing towards mid-on, he tries to hoick it over mid-off, Sujeeva de Silva takes it with ease. 64/4 42.4 to Mashrafe Mortaza, that was worth driving miles to see! tossed up on off stump, Mortaza indide edges it onto the pads, scoops it back to Murali who runs to his left with his outstretched left arm, dives and takes it one handed. 118/7 46.1 to Mohammad Rafique, that was a give-away, on off stump, Rafique goes for a wild slog sweep against the turn, gets the top-edge and Murali takes the easiest of return catches. 130/8 46.5 to Shahadat Hossain, tossed up on off stump, Shahadat gets forward to defend, gets a thick inside edge onto his pads, easy take for forward short leg (Dilshan). 131/9 48.5 to Syed Rasel, the change of attack works, tossed up on off stump, Rasel gets forward to defend, another inside edge strikes the pad and is picked up by Chamara Silva at silly point. 131/10 | ||||||||||

13.2 to WU Tharanga, pitches on off stump and angles into Tharanga who gets on to the front foot and offers no shot, the ball hits the pad on the knee roll and that's an easy decision for umpire Shastri to make. 47/1 21.5 to MG Vandort, bowled him! Rasel pitches it on a good length outside the off stump, Vandort drives a little away from his body off the front foot leaving a gap between bat and pad, the ball cuts in through the bat-pad gap and grazes the top of the bail, it just about touched the bail but the impact was just enough to dislodge it. 74/2 87.2 to DPMD Jayawardene, caught! Would you believe it, finally Bangladesh get a wicket. Jayawardene tries to hit Rasel through the line over mid off, the ball hits the high part of the bat and spoons up to Ashraful who takes an easy catch at mid off, a wicket falls totally against the run of play. 385/3 | ||||||||||

Bashar charges down the pitch and tries to slog Murali over midwicket, he doesn't get to the pitch of the ball and it keeps low as well, he misses the shot completely and gets bowled, Murali pickes up wicket number 695. 98/2 36.4 to Shahriar Nafees, quicker and flatter through the air, Nafees gets stuck on the crease when he should have played forward, the ball pitches on middle and spins sharply away from the left-hander, Nafees tries to defend but the outside edge flies to Jayawardene at first slip. 123/3 42.5 to Mohammad Ashraful, Murali gets number 697! Murali bowls it quicker on off stump, the ball fizzes off the pitch and spins back into Ashraful who is caught on the crease, the balls hits him a fraction above the knee roll and Rudi Koertzen slowly raises the finger. 138/4 52.6 to Mashrafe Mortaza, Murali has wicket number 698, he tosses it up to Mortaza who has been trying to smash it everywhere in this innings, he lofts it down the ground but hasn't got enough on it to clear the boundary, Warnapura takes a simple catch at long on. 166/7 58.4 to Shahadat Hossain, that's number 699! Murali tosses one up outside off stump, Shahadat tries to play the slog sweep but misses it completely, the balls spins sharply into the right-hander and rattles the stumps. 172/9 58.6 to Syed Rasel, that's wicket number 700 and that's the end of the Test match as well, Murali gives it some air on off and middle stump, Rasel tries to hit it down the ground but spoons it in the air towards Maharoof at mid off who runs to his right and takes the catch, the Sri Lankans mob Murali and the crowd cheer and cheer, what a champion the man is. 176/10 |
