Bryce's maiden ton in vain as Ireland knock Scotland out of contention for World Cup

Ireland 269 for 9 (Lewis 61, Delany 57*, Forbes 55, Kathryn Bryce 3-49, Fraser 2-37, Abel 2-50) beat Scotland 268 for 7 (Kathryn Bryce 131*, Canning 3-48, Murray 2-48) by one wicket
The result left the race for the second World Cup qualifier spot down to two teams on the final day of the tournament, where Bangladesh play already-qualified Pakistan and West Indies meet Thailand. Bangladesh are currently in second place and have some wriggle room. They do not need to beat Pakistan to qualify, and could get there with a loss, provided West Indies do not go past their net run-rate. West Indies must beat Thailand by a big margin in order to give themselves a chance of going through.

MI's bowling tricks on slow pitch get them second straight win

Will Jacks' offspin, pace bowlers' yorkers restricted SRH before the hosts cruised home

Mumbai Indians 166 for 6 (Jacks 36, Rickelton 31, Cummins 3-26, Malinga 2-36) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad 162 for 5 (Abhishek 40, Klaasen 37, Jacks 2-14) by four wickets
Mumbai Indians (MI) won an important toss, got the best of the conditions, and made excellent use of them to run away to their third win of IPL 2025, beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by four wickets. They sent SRH in on an unusually sluggish pitch at the Wankhede Stadium and restricted them to 162 for 5. They then hunted down their target with 11 balls to spare, with a bit of help from dew - though not enough to force a ball change.
MI's biggest match-winner on the day was Will Jacks, who had made a quiet start to the season, but showed all his value in his sixth match with his new team. His 26-ball 36 was an important innings, but he made an even bigger impact with his offspin, bossing his match-up against SRH's entirely left-handed top three and finishing with 2 for 14 in three overs.

Islamabad United 202 for 6 (Farhan 53, Munro 48, Haider 33, Holder 32*, Jordan 2-41) beat Multan Sultans 155 (Rizwan 38, Iftikhar 32, Usman 31, Holder 4-25, Imad 2-33) by 47 runs
Another half-century from Sahibzada Farhan and an impressive all-round bowling performance spearheaded by Jason Holder helped Islamabad United maintain their perfect streak in PSL 2025, squeezing out Multan Sultans by 47 runs.
Sultans won the toss and inserted United. The bowlers began brightly, with Farhan, fresh off his century against Peshawar Zalmi, and the off-colour Andries Gous kept quiet in the first half of the powerplay. But Farhan wouldn't be kept quiet for long, launching Michael Bracewell for 15 in the fourth over, and another 15 in the last one before the field spread out. David Willey removed Gous when a miscue found midwicket, but 41 still came off the last half of the powerplay.

Delhi Capitals 188 for 5 (Porel 49, Rahul 38, Stubbs 34*, Axar 34, Archer 2-32) tied with Rajasthan Royals 188 for 4 (Rana 51, Jaiswal 51, Samson 31, Axar 1-23, Starc 1-36) DC won the Super Over
Nine runs needed, six wickets in hand - it should have been a routine finish for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2025. But Mitchell Starc flipped the script, delivering five pinpoint yorkers in a sensational final over. Dhruv Jurel couldn't find two runs off the last ball, and Starc dragged the game into a Super Over.
RR imploded in the Super Over, lasting just five balls and losing both Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal to run outs. DC chased down the 12-run target in just four deliveries.
