Rachel Trenaman backed up her first-innings 77 with an unbeaten 58, as she and Charli Knott stood firm to stumps to hamper England A's victory hopes in the unofficial women's Test at Cricket Central.
By the close, Australia A led by 115 runs with seven wickets standing, with Trenaman and Knott (40 not out) unbeaten in a 69-run stand for the fourth wicket.

Dom Sibley became the 20th Surrey player to score a century in each innings of a first-class match as Surrey set up a winning position against Hampshire on day three of the Rothesay County Championship match at the Kia Oval.
Jamie Smith's 84 from 113 balls provided the most eye-catching strokeplay as Surrey moved from their overnight 136 for one to 342 for nine declared - setting Hampshire to score 377 to win.

Lahore Qalandars brought Quetta Gladiators down to earth with a crushing 79-run win thanks to a devastating display of power hitting. A 39-ball 67 from Fakhar Zaman, and a blistering unbeaten 19-ball half-century from Sam Billings at the death powered the Qalandars to 219, capitalising on an indifferent bowling performance. Inside three overs, the captain Shaheen Shah Afridi had reduced Gladiators to 10 for 3. The only resistance came in the form of a 45-run stand between Rilee Rossouw and Kusal Mendis, and it wasn't nearly enough to make a dent in Qalandars' total.
Five wickets fell for 25 runs as Qalandars more than made amends for their thumping at Islamabad United's hands in the opener.
Gladiators sneaked a tight three overs in at the start, but that was very much an aberration to how Qalandars would bat from thereon. Every batter who faced at least eight deliveries had a strike rate in excess of 170 through the innings, with Abdullah Shafique stroking three consecutive boundaries off Mohammad Amir to set the Qalandars on their way. But it was his takedown of Faheem Ashraf in the final over of the powerplay, extracting 17 runs in the over, that swung the first six Qalandars' way. Ashraf would end up being their favourite whipping boy through the innings.

Ben Raine's vital knock led a Durham fightback with the bat after a four-wicket blitz from Warwickshire's Michael Booth had given his side the upper hand on day three of their Rothesay County Championship encounter.
After frustrating Durham in the morning, the Bears were bowled out for 325, 62 runs behind the hosts' total. Durham's second innings started in a serene manner, but a fabulous four-wicket spell from Booth either side of lunch saw momentum swing the way of the visitors.

Colin Ingram top-scored with 103 and Chris Cooke contributed 56 in a rearguard action for the Welsh county, but Akhter's return of 5 for 85 from 20.5 overs and 3 for 61 from fellow quick Ajeet Singh Dale ensured Glamorgan were dismissed for 385, a first-innings deficit of 161.

Mumbai Indians (MI) clinched a thriller they had no business winning; not certainly after a comeback knock for the ages from Karun Nair, who smashed a 40-ball 89 in a chase of 206. But Karn Sharma, their Impact Sub, cracked open the game with a three-wicket haul, to cause an implosion that ended with a hat-trick of run outs in the penultimate over as Delhi Capitals (DC) fell short by 12 runs.
It meant there are no unbeaten teams left at IPL 2025. DC would rue the two points that were stolen right from under their nose, disrupting their run of four straight wins, as their homecoming at the Arun Jaitley Stadium was met with a heartbreak no one saw coming.

Tawanda Muyeye and Ben Compton both hit centuries as Kent coasted to an eight-wicket run win over Middlesex in the Rothesay County Championship at Canterbury on Sunday.
Muyeye made a fluent unbeaten 125 and Compton a stylish 124 not out in a record-breaking partnership worth 225, after England's Zak Crawley showed a glimpse of form with 58, having being dropped on nought.

Sussex's imperious form continued into the third day at Hove, led by yet another commanding performance from their captain, John Simpson. His unbeaten 110 from 117 balls bludgeoned Somerset into submission, setting the visitors a notional target of 595 to win, and Sussex made strides towards finishing the contest as Sean Hunt added to his first-innings five-for by dispatching four of the top five across two fiery spells.
Hunt, who has the frame of a rugby union second row and facial hair straight from Aussie rules, hammered the ball into what had been a relatively benign surface to land potentially the decisive blows during the evening session. His third delivery snagged Sean Dickson's outside edge and flew to fourth slip, and Hunt then surpassed his previous best match haul of six wickets by having Archie Vaughan caught on the hook at deep backward square leg.

With Essex surrendering their five remaining wickets for 66 runs in the day's opening 90 minutes to claim a bare 20-run first-innings lead, Nottinghamshire threatened to take hold of their Rothesay County Championship Division One match at Trent Bridge.

Northamptonshire are closing in on a first Rothesay County Championship victory at Old Trafford since 1999, and only their fourth win at Lancashire's headquarters, after bowling the hosts out for 228 and then having the home side 126 for two in their second innings after enforcing the follow-on.
Liam Guthrie gave Northamptonshire the dream start when he trapped Michael Jones lbw for 0 with an inswinger as Lancashire batted a second time but the visitors' victory quest was held up by a resolute 120-run partnership between Keaton Jennings, who added 49 runs to go with his first innings 96 and Josh Bohannon who remains unbeaten on 67.
