Sunrisers Hyderabad 247 for 2 (Abhishek 141, Head 66) beat Punjab Kings 245 for 6 (Shreyas 82, Prabhsimran 42, Arya 36, Stoinis 34* Harshal 4-42, Malinga 2-45) by eight wickets
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) ended a four-match losing streak in style by pulling off the second-highest run chase in IPL history, roaring past the 245 of Punjab Kings (PBKS), the team that holds the record. The win was made possible by Travishek, the opening duo finally clicking this season.
On a Hyderabad pitch back to its batting-friendly best after last week's turner against Gujarat Titans (GT), Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head capitalised, punishing PBKS with the season's highest partnership - 171 in just 12.2 overs - after Abhishek rode his luck, surviving two missed chances.

Sussex 294 and 246 for 1 (Haines 117*, Hughes 91) lead Somerset 201 (Rew 80*, Hudson-Prentice 4-31) by 339 runs
You have to go back to September 2015 for the last time Sussex won a game in Division One of the County Championship - or May of the same summer for victory at Hove. And while it would be premature to say that decade-long wait is about to come to an end, they could hardly want for a more advantageous position after two days of this encounter with Somerset.
Only two members of the 2015 squad are still involved at Sussex: Ollie Robinson, currently hors de combat with a foot injury, and Fynn Hudson-Prentice, in his second spell at the club after being released (Tymal Mills, now in his benefit year, is another survivor but no longer involved in red-ball). As many as four are still playing for other counties - bonus point if you can name them* - which tells you something about Sussex's tribulations in the intervening period.

Lucknow Super Giants 186 for 4 (Pooran 61, Markram 58, Prasidh 2-26) beat Gujarat Titans180 for 6 (Gill 60, Sai Sudharsan 56, Thakur 2-24, Bishnoi 2-36) by six wickets
Despite the absence of Mitchell Marsh, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bested Gujarat Titans (GT) in the battle of top orders and moved up to third on the IPL 2025 points table.
After Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan forged a 120-run opening stand, GT managed only 60 off their last eight overs while losing six wickets. The variations of Ravi Bishnoi and Digvesh Rathi (8-0-66-3) helped LSG regain lost ground on a black-soil pitch at Ekana Stadium.
