Rizwan, bowlers keep Patriots alive in playoffs race

With Amazon Warriors needing 11 from the last over, Naseem Shah held his nerve to concede just five

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots 149 for 6 (Rizwan 85, Bidaisee 22*, Hassan 2-21, Motie 2-44) beat Guyana Amazon Warriors 144 for 8 (Hope 31, Salamkheil 2-28, Naseem 2-29) by five runs
In what was a must-win game for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Mohammad Rizwan and the bowlers helped them get the better of Guyana Amazon Warriors by five runs in a last-over finish in Providence.
Chasing a mere 150, Amazon Warriors needed 11 from six balls with three wickets in hand. Naseem Shah held his nerve and had Keemo Paul caught at long-on with the first ball. For the rest of the over, he mixed slower balls into the pitch with yorkers to give away just five. While the result ended Patriots' three-match losing streak, their playoff chances still look bleak. They need nothing less than a win in their last league match, against Barbados Royals on Friday, but also other results to go their way.

Isaac Mohammed century drives England U19 to series-levelling win

Hossan, Beg make half-centuries for visitors as Minto impresses again with three wickets

England U19 273 for 6 (Mohammed 104, Basir 3-35) beat Bangladesh U19 272 for 9 (Hossan 57, Beg 51, Minto 3-48) by four wickets
A superb Isaac Mohammed century guided England Men U19s to a four-wicket win against Bangladesh Men U19s in the second Youth one-day international at Loughborough.
The Worcestershire batter, who was dropped on six, was the backbone of a potentially tricky run chase after half-centuries from Rifat Beg and Rizan Hossan helped Bangladesh post 272 for nine. James Minto claimed three for 48 from his 10 overs - to follow his five-wicket haul in the opening-match defeat - although the highlight of the innings was arguably Joe Moores' stunning catch to remove KS Aleen off Manny Lumsden.

Powell, Green give Royals their first win of the season

Tim David's blitz in vain for St Lucia Kings, who went down by 27 runs

Barbados Royals 191 for 5 (King 42, Powell 41*) beat St Lucia Kings 164 for 9 (David 44, Simmonds 3-28) by 27 runs
Captain Rovman Powell led the way, smashing an unbeaten 41 off 17 balls, as Barbados Royals secured their first win in CPL 2025. Despite that, Royals remained at the bottom of the points table and David Wiese's St Lucia Kings remained at the top along with Nicholas Pooran's Trinbago Knight Riders. Currently, only net run-rate separates Kings and TKR.
After they were asked to bat first, Royals didn't start well. They lost Quinton de Kock to left-arm fingerspinner Khary Pierre in the third over and by the end of the powerplay, they had managed only 39 for 1. Tabraiz Shamsi, the left-arm wristspinner from South Africa, then stifled Royals even further by taking out Brandon King (42), Kadeem Alleyne (39) and Sherfane Rutherford (16) in his four overs which cost Kings only 26 runs.

Pakistan 141 for 8 (Zaman 27, Nawaz 25, Rashid 3-38) beat Afghanistan 66 (Nawaz 5-19, Muqeem 2-9, Abrar 2-17) by 75 runs
A remarkable five-wicket haul from Mohammad Nawaz - including a hat-trick - on a surface that gripped on a dewy Sharjah night helped Pakistan steamroll to the tri-series title, scything though Afghanistan for 66 and securing a 75-run win. The 141 Pakistan put up in a spasmodic display after electing to bat first appeared inadequate halfway through, but an astonishing spell either side of the powerplay saw Afghanistan lose five wickets for four runs. It asphyxiated the chase before it began, giving Pakistan a handy boost ahead of the start of the Asia Cup next week.
No side has lost a match after batting first throughout this tournament, and Salman Agha made no secret that was the reason he opted to set a target at the toss. Pakistan ran into early trouble when Sahibzada Farhan's quiet series whimpered out as he fell for a first-over duck. Pakistan rebuilt cautiously but with Afghanistan's spinners assisted by the deck, never truly breaking free. Several batters fell after starts, and by the end of the stuttering innings, none had crossed 30.

Mishara's maiden fifty seals Sri Lanka's T20I series against Zimbabwe

He added an unbroken 117 for the third wicket with KJ Perera as SL chased 192 down

Sri Lanka 193 for 2 (Mishara 73*, Perera 46*, Evans 1-28) beat Zimbabwe 191 for 8 (Marumani 51, Raza 28, Hemantha 3-38) by eight wickets
Zimbabwe put forward a team effort led by Tadiwanashe Marumani's fourth T20I fifty to post an imposing 191 for 8. But Sri Lanka's top four batters made light work of their target by ending the game with 14 balls and eight wickets to spare. With it, Sri Lanka took the series 2-1.
Kamil Mishara will be the name on everyone's lips after the game, though, with his 73 not out off 43 balls the shining light in an outstanding display of batting from the Sri Lankans. Pathum Nissanka (30 from 20 deliveries) and Kusal Mendis (30 off 17) once more delivered a strong start in the powerplay. But while Sri Lanka have long struggled to maintain that momentum, on Sunday, Mishara and the returning Kusal Perera dusted off the 192 chase with ease with an unbeaten stand of 117 from 63 balls.
