Karima Gore continued his superb form in CPL 2025, scoring his second consecutive half-century to guide Antigua and Barbuda Falcons to a commanding six-wicket victory over Barbados Royals on Saturday. Chasing 152, Falcons rode on Gore's unbeaten 64 to claim their first points of the tournament in front of a home crowd.
After a disappointing loss against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in their season opener - despite Gore's 61 - Falcons bounced back with a disciplined all-round performance. Winning the toss and opting to field, the Falcons bowlers kept Royals in check for most of the innings. Quinton de Kock provided a brisk start with a fluent 57, and captain Rovman Powell added a late flourish with a powerful unbeaten 51 off just 24 balls to take Royals to 151 for 6. Jayden Seales was the pick of the bowlers for Falcons, returning 2 for 15 in an economical spell.

Oval Invincibles, led by an inspired Jordan Cox, smashed the highest score in the history of the Hundred, racking up 226 for 4 from their 100 balls as they crushed Welsh Fire by 83 runs at the Kia Oval.
Asked to bat first in front of a packed home crowd, the Invincibles' innings sprung into life inside the first 10 balls, Will Jacks hitting Matt Henry for back-to-back boundaries.

A brilliant innings on his home county ground by Tom Moores saw Trent Rockets to a four-wicket win over Southern Brave in the Hundred men's competition.
Moores, making his first appearance in this year's competition having only just arrived as an emergency wicketkeeper replacement, hit 55 in a partnership of 76 with Tom Banton as Rockets got home with four balls to spare.

Winning the toss and choosing to bat on her 35th birthday, Invincibles skipper Lauren Winfield-Hill chopped on first ball of the innings off Shabnim Ismail, not the birthday present she would have wanted.

Electing to bowl first, Georgia Adams' decision was justified almost immediately when 17-year-old Tilly Corteen-Coleman struck two huge blows in her opening set, removing Bryony Smith caught off a leading-edge and Nat Sciver-Brunt brilliantly stumped by Rhianna Southby.

Glenn Maxwell had scored his first T20I fifty in a year and 11 innings to put Australia on track after they were teetering at 122 for 6, chasing 173, in the 14th. Australia needed 12 runs from 12 balls to complete their highest successful chase at home. Kagiso Rabada was bowled out. What could possibly go wrong from there?
Corbin Bosch took two wickets in two balls in a penultimate over that ended as a double-wicket maiden. Maxwell refused a run off the last ball to keep strike in the final over and Lungi Ngidi was tasked with defending nine runs. His first ball was hit out to deep wide long-on where Bosch flicked the ball back in-field as he leapt over the rope to save four. Then Maxwell beat Lhuan-dre Pretorius at deep cover for four and turned down another opportunity for a single with four runs to get. He reverse-hoicked Ngidi over short third to seal the deal off the second last ball of the match and confirm his status as the big show in a thrilling finale.

Guyana Amazon Warriors made it look quite easy, putting in a strong bowling performance that got them a low target, and then knocking off the runs with 16 balls in hand to win their opening game of CPL 2025, beating St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The bowlers set up the win for Amazon Warriors, but the standout star of the show was Ben McDermott, who slammed 75 in 39 balls to make the chase a canter, with support from Shai Hope, who hit an unbeaten 56 in 39 balls.
Amazon Warriors opted to field, and had a slice of fortune early on when Evin Lewis, who had looked in good nick on the previous night, hurt his bottom hand while hitting a swivel-pull off Shamar Joseph in the second over that went for four - not before a comical bit of (mis)fielding from Romario Shepherd in the deep. Lewis had to retire hurt.

Northern Superchargers 193 for 5 (Malan 58, Crawley 45) beat Birmingham Phoenix 157 for 9 (Bethell 48, Livingstone 46*, Potts 3-26, Lawes 2-23, Rashid 2-26, Duffy 2-31) by 36 runs
An absorbing game in front of a capacity Leeds crowd finally went the way of Harry Brook's Superchargers, who claimed top spot outright in the men's Hundred following another scintillating batting performance against Birmingham Phoenix.
In pursuit of the Superchargers' 193 for 5 - the highest score in the men's tournament since the 2023 season - a magnificent partnership of 80 in just 42 balls between Phoenix's Liam Livingstone and Jacob Bethell briefly threatened to upset the odds, but the brilliance of Adil Rashid, who removed Bethell caught-and-bowled with 87 still needed from 38 balls, ultimately swung the momentum back to the home team.
