Somerset 169 for 3 (Kohler-Cadmore 64, Carson 1-22) beat Sussex 166 for 8 (Simpson 58, Henry 3-29) by seven wickets
Somerset maintained their 100% record in the Vitality Blast after cruising to a seven-wicket win over previously unbeaten Sussex Sharks at Hove.
Having restricted them to 166 for 8 after putting Sussex in, Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Tom Lammonby broke the back of Somerset's chase when they added 89 off 45 balls for the second wicket after Will Smeed departed in the first over.

Ben Sanderson stole the show as he returned figures of 6 for 8, including sealing the match with a hat-trick, as Northants Steelbacks hurried to a 31-run win over Worcestershire Rapids in the Vitality Blast North Group.
Setting their opponents 191 to win, it was Ricardo Vasconcelos (59) who anchored the Steelbacks innings.

He committed the first mistake after 273 minutes. Leaning into the ball, but playing away from the body, KL Rahul went swinging at a good-length delivery from England Lions quick George Hill. The ball was seaming away after starting well outside off stump, and the thick outside edge was pouched brilliantly with a reverse cup by Emilio Gay at second slip.
Rahul cursed his ill judgment as his first lapse in concentration brought to an end what was otherwise a carefully crafted century on his first day of the English summer.

Laura Harris continued her remarkable start at Edgbaston by clubbing Warwickshire to a 69-run Vitality Blast victory over Somerset.
Harris followed her 16-ball half-century on her debut in Birmingham last week with an equally spectacular 77 from 34 balls to lift Warwickshire to 172 for 9. Her barrage completed the team's strong recovery from 30 for 3 after Mollie Robbins (3 for 24) took three wickets in her first ten balls.

England 188 for 6 (Buttler 96) beat West Indies 167 for 9 (Lewis 39, Dawson 4-20) by 21 runs
Jos Buttler began life back in the ranks of England's T20I side by making his highest score on home soil, his supremely calculated innings of 96 from 59 providing a reassuring touch of quality to a new-look batting order. Liam Dawson then marked his return to England duty after more than two years out of the side with his best return in any format, figures of 4 for 20 putting the skids under West Indies in the chase.
Buttler scored almost exactly half of England's runs but did most of the heavy lifting to give his successor, Harry Brook, a largely comfortable first outing as T20I captain. Jamie Smith and Jacob Bethell were the only other batters to make double-figures on a lop-sided scorecard, but West Indies paid for a profligate start with the ball that allowed England to race away to 78 for 1 at the end of the powerplay.

Kathryn Bryce starred with bat and ball as The Blaze beat Essex Women by seven wickets in the Vitality Blast match at the Central Co-op County Ground Derby.
Despite losing opening bowler Grace Ballinger after one ball of the game, The Blaze delivered a disciplined display in the field with Bryce taking 2 for 11 and Cassidy McCarthy 2 for 22.

Grace Harris announced herself on the 2025 Vitality Blast with a blistering half-century and three wickets as Surrey made it two from two with a 32-run win over Hampshire at the Kia Oval.
Hot off the plane the Australia international smashed 63 in 35 balls with four sixes and five fours. Harris shared half-century stands with Danni Wyatt-Hodge (62 from 41) and Paige Scholfield (49 from 18) - all this after Wyatt-Hodge and skipper Bryony Smith (33) posted 73 for the opening wicket.

Bopara scored an unbeaten 84 from 46 balls including five sixes as the Steelbacks recovered from 112 for 5 to post an imposing 194 for 6 with Afghanistan spinner Mohammad Ghazanfar taking 2 for 30.

Essex's batters came to the party as they overcame the weather and a late Sterre Kalis blitz to beat Warwickshire by 19 runs under the Duckworth Lewis Stern method at Chelmsford in the Vitality Blast women's competition.
Issy Macleod (44), Grace Scrivens (36) and an explosive 27 from Maddie Penna lifted the hosts to 154 for 4 in a game reduced to 14 overs-a-side by rain.
