A right-hand batsman and part-time bowler, Rajan Mehra, who also captained Delhi in the Ranji Trophy, played 14 matches scoring 436 runs at an average of 24.22, and took seven wickets at 32.00. He was also an international umpire, officiating in two Tests in India when the hosts took on Sri Lanka in 1986 and Pakistan in 1987. He also stood in three ODIs between 1982 and 1987. He died at the age of 76.
