Teddy Bishop

A steady top-order batter, Teddy Bishop gradually progressed after performing for West Indies Under-19s and West Indies A to a senior international debut in Australia in 2024 at the age of 21.

Touring England with the Under-19 side in September 2021, Bishop, then 18, was the top-scorer in the six-match one-day series with 271 runs. He was also selected for the Under-19 World Cup in early 2022 at home, where he was the second-highest run-getter from his side, including a match-winning 112* against Zimbabwe. Just over a week later, he made his first-class debut for Windward Islands in the 2021-22 domestic season when he came on as a substitute for Kimani Melius and opened the batting in the second innings.

His onward journey continued, when in August 2022, Bishop played for West Indies A in the three one-dayers at home against Bangladesh A, and scored 60 in the third match. He also had notable numbers in the Super50 Cup in 2022-23. Representing West Indies Academy, Bishop was their highest run-scorer, with 243 runs.

He was soon selected for the senior West Indies team for the ODIs against Australia in 2023-24. But Bishop batted in the middle order and fell for a duck on debut in the third ODI.
