Mudgal committee meets Ganguly, Dalmiya

The Mudgal Committee has interacted with former India captain Sourav Ganguly and former BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya, as part of the ongoing investigation

The Mudgal committee appointed by India's Supreme Court to probe the IPL 2013 corruption and spot-fixing scandal has interacted with former India captain Sourav Ganguly and former BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya, as part of the ongoing investigation. The committee also met with Cricket Association of Bihar secretary Aditya Verma, and senior journalists Kishore Bhimani and Boria Majumdar.
The committee, a BCCI release said, is likely to submit its report on corruption in the IPL by February 10.
The three-man committee has met with or questioned a number of people so far, including officials of Delhi and Mumbai Police. Its brief covers the corruption charges against former Chennai Super Kings official Gurunath Meiyappan, Super Kings team owner India Cements, and Rajasthan Royals team owner Jaipur IPL Cricket Private Ltd, as well as a larger mandate of allegations around betting and spot-fixing in IPL matches and the larger involvement of players.
