Kapil paaji, and England's umbrella
We asked readers which former player they would have loved to watch at the IPL

Not a name you'd think of, but an old England spinner, Derek Underwood - England's umbrella, all you needed on a wet day.
1. Lance Cairns - (New Zealand) - Excellent all rounder who can belt the ball all over the place.
2. Farokh Engineer - India - An opening bat cum wicketkeeper, who can give any team a rousing start. Does not waste time defending. And, was excellent behind the wickets as well.
3. Viv Richards - West Indies - An obvious choice
My list goes as follows: Kapil Dev, Ian Botham and Wasim Akram in the same order. Kapil Dev is first for his aggressive batting and captaincy, brilliant bowling and superb fielding.
I would like to watch Sir Vivian Richards because he is arguably the best attacking batsman the world has ever seen. People would have loved to watch him at the IPL.
Kris Srikkanth, the gifted opener from India during the '80s and early '90s. Only Sehwag has come close to performing like him to date.
I would love to watch Wasim Akram bowling his inswingers and yorkers at the death, making a mockery of the specialist T20 hitters.
I would really have liked to see Ian Harvey in the IPL: slower balls, great fielding, power hitting… the works.
I'd have loved to see Lance Klusener. The great South African allrounder would have created havoc in the IPL.
Big Bird Joel Garner, arguably (and only Wasim Akram can really argue with him) the best death bowler ever. Also Malcolm Marshall.
Garry Sobers, obviously.
Geoff Boycott, using a stick o' rhubarb
As a true Indian fan, I would have loved to see Kapil paaji bowling, especially in the death overs.
I would like to see Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Saeed Anwar, Viv Richards, Saqlain Mushtaq and Ijaz Ahmed in IPL.
I would have loved to see Sandeep Patil playing in IPL.
