Tasmania 3 for 131 (Webster 46*, Richardson 2-25) and 364 (Michael 97, Silk 63, Worrall 3-62) lead South Australia 295 (Cooper 104, Mennie 58*, Bird 4-80) by 200 runs
Tasmania ended the penultimate day with a lead of 200 runs over South Australia in Adelaide, after the hosts were dismissed for 295 in their innings, conceding a lead of 69. Tom Cooper made 104 for South Australia, and Joe Mennie remained unbeaten on 58.
South Australia captain Travis Head shared an 87-run partnership with Cooper but had to depart for 50 after he was caught behind off Ben Hilfenhaus. Cooper then stitched an 86-run stand with wicketkeepr Tim Ludeman before being trapped leg before by Evan Gulbis for 104 in the 78th over. At 6 for 188, it looked as if Tasmania would collect a lead in excess of 150, but South Australia's last four wickets rallied to add 107 runs. Tasmania's Jackson Bird picked four wickets for 80 runs, getting Callum Ferguson and Kelvin Smith for ducks before rounding off the tail.
Tasmania started off slowly in their second innings and were three down for 59 by the 31st over. However, Alex Doolan and Beau Webster dug in and shared an unbroken 72-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
