A tall and wiry batter, Will Luxton made his Championship debut for Yorkshire at Scarborough in July 2022, by which stage he had already played in a World Cup final - for England Under-19s in their defeat to India in Antigua that February. Educated at Bradford Grammar School, he made his Yorkshire first-team appearance in the One-Day Cup in 2021, scoring 165 runs in six innings, including a fine 68 on debut against Northamptonshire to rescue his team from 69 for 6. He earned a rookie contract for the 2023 summer.
