19.2 to AK Markram, taken by Hain! A back-of-the-hand slower ball on a fullish length on the stumps, as Markram went ramming it down the ground. But seemingly beaten by the lack of pace, he eventually only ended up skying the ball very high. Hain, at long-off, grabbed it after judging it well. 171/4 19.6 to M Jansen, pocketed at deep midwicket! Jansen was sitting deep in the crease, and even went across the stumps. Maphaka chose to go on the shorter side of a length, and got this slower ball to shape away and finish around sixth stump. Jansen went thumping at it with a hard pull, but couldn't clear the boundary. 175/5 | ||||||||||

4.4 to Z Crawley, popped up for SA20 debutant Karthik! PR's wicketkeeper sticks his right hand out, and eventually takes it on the second attempt with both his gloves intact. It was a length delivery on the stumps, and the ball turned back in. Crawley came down the pitch and looked to have a swat, but ended up getting a bottom edge on to his back knee. The ball jumped up off it, and went to Karthik's right. 38/1 4.6 to J Hermann, sliced to short extra cover! Root, who was placed there, leaps barely a foot, and takes it with a reverse cup. Hermann, like his opening partner Crawley, decided to skip down the pitch, and loft over the in field. 12.6 to LG Pretorius, ehhh, given out lbw on 97! And as we'd think, Pretorius reviews! This looked out on first impression, though, but we'll see. Jansen went full and around off, as Pretorius looked to whip it away from deep on the crease. He is neaten on the inside edge - there's no bat involved - and hit on the side of his front leg. And indeed ball tracking shows the ball would have hit the middle of leg stump. A superb knock comes to an end, three runs painfully short. 132/1 | ||||||||||
