5.2 to JM Cox, skied to mid-on!! The hard length works for Mokoena. He bowls it short, and gets the ball climb nicely in and around that off-stump line. Cox went to pull, but he was never in control of that shot. Potgieter, at mid-on, didn't have to move an inch either side as the ball fell into his lap. 37/2 | ||||||||||

3.3 to C Esterhuizen, flung to mid-off!! That was thrashed hard off the bat, but Miller clung on to the ball close to his throat. Viljoen went full this time - perhaps a little too full for Esterhuizen to attempt that loft down the ground. The ball was hit hard and flat, but not high enough to beat the in field. As a result, it's a wicket for Viljoen in his first over. 25/1 19.1 to L Ngidi, bowled him!! The off stump is flattened. More crucially for PR, Rutherford remains off strike. It was a cutter angled into a middle-stump line, and Ngidi, after backing away a bit, looked to lean into a drive. But he missed, and the ball went on to strike between the off and middle stumps. 7.1 to WJ Lubbe, a wicket first ball!! He bowls it on the fuller side, and way outside leg, but still strikes. The ball is angled in, and Lubbe, who went for the reverse sweep, finds the man at deep cover point. The fielder only had to come in a few yards to gobble the ball. This isn't a pitch where hitting is very easy, as it looks slow, and Lubbe would have realised that the moment the ball left his bat. 51/3 7.3 to SD Hope, got him!! Taken at long-off. This was hit convincingly hard, but right into the fielder's hands. Hope, who had looked patient and firm so far, perishes in search of a big hit. Lawrence bowled it full and around off at him - it was a bit tossed-up too - and Hope cleared his front leg to launch at that. He hit it well, and a bit wide of long-off, but Herman did well to move to his left and grab it with a reverse cup over his head. 53/4 | ||||||||||

9.6 to RL Chase, caught and bowled!! Raza is off in celebration. It was a low catch as Chase drive it back hard, but Raza took it in front of his right shin. Raza bowled it full and wide of off, and slower as well. Chase went driving, and ended up playing aerially although he hit it forcefully. Raza, though, was alert to the chance, and took it with both hands - literally. 71/5 11.1 to D Brevis, bowled him!! Brevis loses his balance at the crease. Raza fires a yorker at 97kph on leg, and the ball doesn't turn. Brevis looks to flick it away, but is beaten. He almost falls over to the off side while looking to play to the leg. The PR spinners keep striking, and PC keep getting pushed back further and deeper into trouble. 74/6 | ||||||||||

5.3 to AM Tribe, nudged behind!! This time Hope is confident, and the umpire gives it out. A slower-ball bouncer from Peters, and that's perhaps the best delivery to bowl on this slow pitch. Peters bangs it on the pitch, and gets the ball to climb close to Tribe's throat around middle and leg. Tribe swivels to pull, but ends up gloving it behind to Hope, who couldn't wait to grab the ball. 34/2 | ||||||||||

12.1 to RA Herman, Hope and Maharaj are up in appeal in unison. But it's turned down. So Maharaj reviews. Was the appeal for lbw or caught behind? We'll know soon. Oh, the first replay indicates he's lbw, and guess what, Hermann has started walking back already. Yup, he's gone. Maharaj bowled it on a short of a length on middle and off, as he angled it across. The ball stayed low, and Hermann didn't have the time to adjust after he attempted a pull. He missed, and was struck on his back pad. Replays show the ball would have hit the off stump. 67/4 16.1 to Sikandar Raza, bowled him!! Oh, did I jinx him?! Maharaj bowled it slow, and on a fullish length on middle and off.
