Fall of wickets: 1-63 (Dimuth Karunaratne, 10.2 ov), 2-80 (Pathum Nissanka, 14.4 ov), 3-86 (Sadeera Samarawickrama, 16.5 ov), 4-188 (Charith Asalanka, 33.2 ov), 5-221 (Dhananjaya de Silva, 38.1 ov), 6-226 (Kusal Mendis, 39.1 ov), 7-227 (Dasun Shanaka, 39.3 ov), 8-291 (Maheesh Theekshana, 49.6 ov) • DRS
38.1 to DM de Silva, clips the off stump! Mujeeb slows it down, and DDS is beaten. It was tossed up with little pace to work with, and was drifting into the batter while landing around off stump. The ball hinted to turn away, by which time DDS was already through his attempted slog sweep. He missed and the ball hit the base of off stump. 221/5
10.2 to FDM Karunaratne, Third time's the charm, as the slower one finally gets Karunaratne! Slower ball on a length outside off, Dimuth is early on the drive and he ends up chipping a simple catch to cover. 63/1
14.4 to P Nissanka, And now Nissanka is gone! Just like that! This was a poor ball, short and wide, but Nissanka cuts it straight to point. 80/2
16.5 to S Samarawickrama, tickled to the keeper! Naib is on a roll - quite literally with those celebrations. He bowls on a length around sixth stump, angling the ball into the right-hander. Sadeera went poking away from his body, and although it was angled in, the ball just hinted to straighten after pitching. A very faint outside edge, and the keeper went up immediately. 86/3
49.6 to M Theekshana, bottom edge bowls him! This was a legcutter, bowled on a full length on fourth stump. Theekshana was backing away yet again, trying to heave across the line while getting his front leg out of the way. But the lack of pace meant he got a bottom edge, which ended up tickling leg stump. 291/8
33.2 to KIC Asalanka, Rashid strikes! This was slower though the air, allowing the googly to get a bit more grip. Asalanka comes forward as this is tossed up, looking to work it onside, but the ball turns enough to catch the leading edge. Rashid dives forward and takes a good return catch. The partnership ends on 102.. 188/4
39.3 to MD Shanaka, bowled him! Shanaka falls two balls after Rashid dropped a return catch. Another googly, which was tossed up and was dipping on to the batter. Shanaka had shaped to sweep early, and was already through in his shot, with his front foot placed on middle stump, and the bat coming down from off stump. But the ball landed on middle and leg, and went down with the angle to strike the leg stump. 227/7

Fall of wickets: 1-10 (Rahmanullah Gurbaz, 2.2 ov), 2-27 (Ibrahim Zadran, 4.6 ov), 3-50 (Gulbadin Naib, 8.1 ov), 4-121 (Rahmat Shah, 18.4 ov), 5-201 (Mohammad Nabi, 26.3 ov), 6-234 (Karim Janat, 31.1 ov), 7-237 (Hashmatullah Shahidi, 31.5 ov), 8-276 (Najibullah Zadran, 35.4 ov), 9-289 (Mujeeb Ur Rahman, 37.1 ov), 10-289 (Fazalhaq Farooqi, 37.4 ov) • DRS
2.2 to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Edged and gone! And it's the important wicket of Gurbaz! Good length ball outside off, shaping away, Gurbaz looks to drive it on the up through the offside but only ends up nicking through to Mendis for a simple take behind the stumps. Rajitha lets out a guttural scream as he knows exactly what this wicket means. 10/1
4.6 to Ibrahim Zadran, Zadran's pained innings comes to an end! This was fuller outside off, and Ibrahim just gets a thick inside edge on this attempted off drive as the stumps are disturbed. He was looking for the outswing that just wasn't as prominent as expected, ends up driving down the wrong line. 27/2
18.4 to Rahmat Shah, chipped to mid-on! The slower ball at 113kph foxes Rahmat. A cross-seam ball on a slightly shorter side of a length just outside off. Rahmat was into his attempted loft early, thus failing to read the slowness of the ball. In the end, the ball ended up spooning to Pathirana, who took it low as it was dipping. 121/4
35.4 to Najibullah Zadran, taken by fine leg moving and tumbling to his right! Some late twist here, especially with this over having already gone for quite a few runs. It was the sub fielder Hemantha there. Length ball angled in by Rajitha, as the ball finished around leg stump. Zadran went with the line, and had a big swing, only for the ball to land into the fielder's hands. Big moment in the game. 276/8
26.3 to Mohammad Nabi, Nabi is gone! The wicket that all of Sri Lanka was praying for! This was a short of a length ball, that Nabi looks to pull but fails to time. It's still in the gap between deep midwicket and long-on, but DDS runs around takes this very well on the run. Mohammad Nabi take a bow!. 201/5
31.1 to Karim Janat, And he strikes! Janat is gone! Tossed up outside off, Janat looks to heave this over long-on but gets a big edge that loops to short third. 234/6
31.5 to Hashmatullah Shahidi, swiped to short fine leg! Wellalage turning the game around within an over. Not a great ball, and Shahidi failed to capitalise. It was short and angled in from around the wicket while pitching on leg stump. He went for the slog-pull, but ended up finding the fielder. 237/7
8.1 to Gulbadin Naib, And he strikes straight away! If there's no bat on this, it looks absolutely plumb. This was a good length ball on off that struck Gulbadin's back pad in front of middle just above the knee roll. Gulbadin reviews but to no avail - three reds and he's gone. 50/3
37.1 to Mujeeb Ur Rahman, lofted straight to long-on! But wait, Afghanistan still have a chance to qualify. If they get to 295 off the next three balls, they can still make it. He bowled a seam-up ball, which was quite full and flat on off. Mujeeb got his front leg out of the way, and ended up giving the fielder a comfortable catch. 289/9
37.4 to Fazalhaq Farooqi, pinned on the back leg, and it's given leg before wicket! And for what it's worth, Farooqi reviews. The ball was loopy and full on middle and off, and barely moved back in to beat his defence. There's no bat involved, and ball-tracking shows the ball hitting the middle of middle stump. So Sri Lanka qualify for Super Fours with this two-run win. 289/10
