That's all from us, folks. Thanks for your patience. Today, generally, was a dampener. The game in Mohali was washed out without a ball being bowled. A bad day at the cricket. Hopefully the rest of the tournament doesn't meet the same fate. Until next time, it's goodbye from all of us at Cricinfo. Adios!

9.02pm It's official. Play has been called off. What a letdown. It was shaping up to be an exciting game, and Air India, the stronger among the teams, were being challenged by a relatively inexperienced BSNL side. The teams share the points, due to the inconclusive end.

8.47pm Just 19 more minutes before the cut-off. Even if the covers do come out now, the water has to be drained out and the umpires need to ensure there are no wet areas around the pitch. A resumption is highly unlikely. Let's just wait.

8.26pm The rain hasn't really subsided and the players are confined to their dressing rooms. 9.06 pm is the cut-off time; if there is no play by then, the match will be called off.

8.05pm Bad news again, folks. It's started drizzling again and the covers are back on.

7.47pm Encouraging signs from the middle. The covers are being taken off. There's only one on the ground at the moment, which is being drained out. The umpires have strolled out in the middle to have an inspection.

7.30pm The covers are still on, despite the rain having stopped. Still a while before we can get some play underway.

7.15pm The rain has stopped. But it had rained pretty hard and the areas around the pitch could have suffered some damage. The umpires still haven't made any inspection. Plenty of water on the covers. Once the covers have been removed, and all the water drained, the umpires will take a look. So we still have to wait.

7.02pm Still the same bad news. The rain appears to have eased, but it may take some time before the players are back. We are in for a revised target.

6.50pm It's a drizzle now but still, strong enough to keep the players off the field.

It's pouring down at the ground now, and the players are off. Shouldn't stay too long, this rain, but it's causing enough damage now. It's coming down really hard and the ground staff are doing their bit out in the middle. We are in for a delay now; could well have a truncated chase.
