2.3 to ADS Fletcher, short on off stump, entices the batsman to pull and Fletcher obliges. Finds the batsman's top edge, instead. It's in the air, and short mid wicket races in. Cups his hands and takes that from over his face. Soft dismissal. 22/1

4.5 to MN Samuels, back of a length outside off stump, no feet movement and yet the pull shot. Tries to send that on the leg side from outside off stump. Takes the top edge and it's another skyer! But this one will land short. In fact, just to the left of the keeper, who calls early and takes a simple catch.. 43/2 14.3 to SR Watson, hits a full toss straight to extra cover. They're checking for height, because Watson gets this high on the bat as he looks to hit it over the bowler. Looks to the leg umpire. Replays show it's just under his waist.. 108/5 19.3 to DJG Sammy, long-on takes it. Another half-volley at off stump. This time he can't connect it. Hangs up in the air, long-on runs in and snaps it up. 149/7 19.4 to RRS Cornwall, bouncer at middle stump. Mistimed pull shot, into the wind again. You can't clear that boundary without a serious connection. Rashid takes it five yards inside the boundary, then taunts the world by faking an underarm flick backwards and towards the boundary. This befuddles the umpires briefly, but they send him on his way. 149/8

10.2 to J Charles, well, he'll end up on exactly how much he was on. Pushed through flat and full, off stump. Looks to slog over wide long-on, but can't get under it. Skews it high and long-on runs in about five metres to take it. 91/3 12.2 to Kamran Akmal, gone. When Rashid gets into rhythm, he does this to batsmen. Draws crazy swipes across the line. Good length ball, regulation legspinner at off stump. Akmal not even looking to get to the pitch after stepping out. Slogs across the line but this one spins away and it's a straightforward stumping. 104/4
4 | 0 | 25 | 1 | 6.25 | 13 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 0 | |
15.2 to KR Mayers, holes out to deep square. They've just given up, by the looks of it. Length ball at leg stump, pulls aimlessly, bat turns in his hand. Can't get either power or distance or placement on this. Straight to the fielder and one is finally held on to. 110/6

18.6 to JN Mohammed, caught at mid-off! Mitch has produced a dream 19th over. Slower ball, full toss outside off. Mohammed wants to slap this over mid-off but he gets it off the toe. Sammy runs to his right and holds on. Three runs and a wicket. It looks like they crossed over too, the new man will be on strike. 145/4

5.1 to CAK Walton, nagging line outside off in the corridor of uncertainty. Short and quicker this time, tries to work it on the leg side and finds the bat's leading edge once again. It's in the air, and this time short third-man makes no mistake. Walton has to go. 39/1

12.5 to MJ Guptill, good catch from Samuels. The angle from around the wicket has worked. Overpitched outside off stump. Throws the bait. Guptill goes after it, with an angled bat. Gets a big edge that floats up for a strategically placed wide third man. Dips on him as he doesn't quite run in. But he keeps his eyes on it and tumbles forward to hold on. Guptill's attempt to see the innings through has ended prematurely. 88/3

9.2 to Babar Azam, good length on off stump, the ball jumps up after pitching, hits the top-half of Babar's bat as he looks to work it to the leg side. Through the shot early and takes the leading edge. The ball is in the air and goes just above the non-striker's head. Shillingford's waiting behind the ducking Guptill, though. Takes a simple catch as he moves to his right. Strikes right away. 64/2 |
