Cameron gets Australia off to winning start

Jess Cameron scored an unbeaten half-century to guide Australia Women to a four-wicket win over Pakistan Women at the Peter Burge Oval in Brisbane

Australia Women 161 for 6 (Cameron 56*, Bolton 43, Mir 3-28) beat Pakistan Women 157 (Maroof 53, Dar 40) by four wickets
Scorecard
Jess Cameron scored an unbeaten half-century to guide Australia Women to a four-wicket win over Pakistan Women at the Peter Burge Oval in Brisbane.
Nicole Bolton gave Australia a solid start as they began their chase of 158, and was third out for 43 after putting on 35 with Cameron for the third wicket.
Wickets fell around Cameron, with off spinner Sana Mir picking up three, but she kept Australia's chase running at a brisk pace, scoring at a strike-rate of over 90, and brought up the win with close to 14 overs remaining. Cameron remained unbeaten on 56 off 60 balls, having struck seven fours.
Having chosen to bat, Pakistan were quickly in trouble at 33 for 4 before Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar steadied their innings with an 89-run fifth-wicket partnership. But their dismissals within three deliveries triggered another collapse, and Pakistan careened to 157 all out, losing their last six wickets for 35. Rene Farrell, Julie Hunter, Sarah Coyte and Jess Jonassen finished with two wickets each.
