NW Warriors vs Knights, at Comber, Aug 01 2017 - Ball by Ball Commentary
With 21 overs bowled in the the last hour, its fair to say that we our money's worth today.
The Knights fall 29 runs short of the win, the Warriors 2 wickets short. Yet it's probably a story of what could have been in this game.
It was always assumed that Shannon would be the key to the Knights chase and so it proved. Once Shannon was out the momentum fell away from the Knights chase.
Yet with Young going off with an injury and being unable to bowl at the Knights lower order, its a credit to the Warriors that they got so close to victory.
The wait for a positive result in the Championship goes on, with all the games so far finishing in a draw.
The Knights get 10 points for the draw and move to the top of the Championship table.
The Warriors get 8 points and move into second place.
Yet the Lightning will get a chance when they travel to Bready on the 30th August to take on the Warriors.
Yet we wont have to wait that long for the next Interpro game, when these two teams will meet on Sunday at Waringstown in the IP50.
So I'm hoping that you will be able to join us then.
